I think one of the primary problems is KSBD is a world where the Kamehameha is just another, bog standard, martial arts technique. So learning it isn't a big deal. Everyone can do that. So Alison learns the Kamehameha and it turns out all she learned how to do was a boxer's left jab by comparison. As taught by people who's only other move was a right straight as a follow up.In addition to the fact the lore blurbs in the comments below each page constantly assert that knowing how to fight is actually not strong at all anyway. It makes you the weak one in every question.It's the anti-shonen shonen except there's no clever turn around. Everyone is just a viking fighting forever in Valhalla after they passed on from the mortal world except it's actually hell and they don't even know it. They just fight, die, get up again, and die.
