There are so many graphic novels and manga I've put down because you're expected to care about the characters and what they're doing in a situation that gives no explanation whatsoever. Like, why are they bantering casually to each other when I haven't even had time to see Character 1 and Character 2 build a rapport? Why is their landing on this planet or walking through that desert supposed to mean anything to me, anyway? etc. Good storytelling can pique your curiosity: like the first (production-wise) Star Wars movie throws you into a situation, but it provides a lot of hints there are a bigger world out there with references to a Rebel Base, a Consular ship, an enforcer for the bad guys showing up and slaughtering crew members, etc. Gameoverse..... failed at that. I'm hoping it gets a remade pilot that has better editing.
Glitch should remake TADC in the form of 4 movies, unironically making it longer than the original series, changing many plot points to have no loose threads, and change the ending so that Jax lives
