Also have Kinger's memory not be so great even in the dark so Ragatha can't really do anything with the information he gives her (or potentially there's a background running gag of Ragatha always looking for a computer). Ragatha decides not to tell anyone to protect Kinger from being bothered/hated by the others. It could be portrayed as sincere but misguided or played straight.

The show is definitely about the characters and not about the logistics of how the setting works outside of the simplified history of the Circus we're given. She wanted there to be something that's death but not quite death in the setting. Maybe she thinks that the abstracted not being fully gone but not capable of being healed adds to the bittersweetness of the story. She'd probably give a "yeah maybe" to any questions about abstraction being reversed, but it's like asking James Cameron if Jack could've survived. The answer is sure, but not in the story he wanted to tell. Goose told a story where abstraction can't be reversed and she's leaving anything else up to the fans.

Abstractions would be explored and explained, no way would they not bring back Jax because there is no reason not to, Characters would all have arcs and stories, would actually develop. Jax is clearly the most broken and would still get half the screen time, but characters developing off screen and not explaining it so much was bullshit and lazy. How much time is between episodes 6 and 7? how much time even passed? do they age in the circus? Any fanfic writer given the chance to make a season 2, would absolutely explain this stuff, and it would make season 1 look so bad in comparison. This show was 90% kept afloat by potential that was never reached and Michael Kovach acting his heart out
