Regardless of new cast or old cast, any season will lack substance if they're forced to do 13 episode seasons.The reboot had somewhat of a benefit of getting to do back to back 13 episode seasons, but a long single 26 episode season is ideal for a lot of social interactions.You can have more time for supplementary episodes, more than one returnee, or even non-elimination episodes.
What can we do with these leaks?

Newer seasons are too focused on slapstick and needlessly complex challenges, so characters basically get to chat at the start of the episodes and that's it.
