According to Statistica theater gross TOTAL was 8.91 billion https://www.statista.com/statistics/187069/north-american-box-office-gross-revenue-since-1980/ for US and Canada. It would have to account for more than half of that and more than half of the entire extended worldwide ticket sales in order to come close to it. That alone sounds impossible, but it gets worse when you read that is total across the entire year. The movie in question would have to be in the box office and on top of the box office for 12 months, just being seen over. and over. And over. By the same people.
