Last time with the Runaways, now sans Karolina, Cloak showed up at the Hostel. He was a fugitive from the law and a pariah among the superheroes, being framed for having brutally beaten and harmed Dagger and leaving her in a coma. He had the Runaways come to New York to help him clear his name. Suspecting someone had used MGH to copy Cloak's powers, Chase and Nico went looking and dealt with a drug dealer named the Pusher Man who seemed to accept Chase's stories about the Pride and things he had done leading to Nico, for reasons she didn't even understand, kissing him in gratitude after they got the buyer's name. Victor and Gert ran into Spider-Man while Molly, staying behind with Cloak at a church, was confronted by Captain America, Iron Man and Wolverine.In the end, the perpetrator was Dagger's nurse, who turned out to be an obsessed fan and stalker who thought they were destined to be together. He was defeated through Chase using the Staff of One to purge the MGH from his body and with Cloak's name cleared, the Runaways went back to Los Angeles unaware that the new Pride was watching their every move. Yep, the twist that it wasn't Alex the whole time but a younger version of Geoffrey Wilder pulled from the '80s. Kind of weird to think that the distance between then and when this issue was published would be the same as now and when this issue was published. So Wilder would have been pulled from the mid-2000s instead.
