The backgrounds, the music, even a few of the songs are pretty fun, and the main cast character designs, despite being beanmouth, have some undeniable appeal. Beach City is actually a pretty comfy setting, too...But somehow, this is the only example of a show I can think of where learning more about the setting, the characters, the lore, and getting to see all of that painstakingly developed over many seasons made everything worse and less enjoyable. Then they doubled down with Future and shit the bed so hard that no one wants to really talk about or care about anything happening with this show anymore.
