I do not know how comfortable they were with Epic Mickey defining that for them and KH is far bigger. The Oswald show is going to be the definitive presentation of the character for better or worse, and at that point I think they would allow him in future KH as long as it’s that new version they made.

From what I remember Big Hero 6 guys were cool with anything so we got Dark Baymax and double Baymaxes. Pixar disallowed redoing movie plots but let him do a lot of original stuff and helped them a lot with designs and tech stuff. Frozen were pricks and really strict which is why it sucks in KH3. Disney disallowed summons so he had to make them elemental summon things despite letting him do it in the past.
