I fucking love this ship!
The japs sure loved this pairing.
It took Jean to made me go "It's okay if Peter don't end up with Mary Jane" when she's basically another redhead but superpowers. It won't happen in comics so MCU and maybe some alt universe is our best bet.BTW wasn't there a YA What If novel about Peter and Wanda being siblings and it screams a girls fanfic? Worst case scenario we got that.
>>154976669>It won't happen in comics so MCU and maybe some alt universe is our best bet.I think our best chance is in some cartoon, the cartoons seem the least afraid to go with new ships

>>154980057She is the cutest! I love how she was willing to flatten anyone in her path.I hope Marvel keeps that as part of her character and her struggles to not do it as her first response from shell shock.
>>154983858>Too many third party factors. It's a shame. If Tom and Zendaya weren't a thing IRL I actually think it could happen. Only way it could happen despite that is if Feige thought it'd help more butts in seats and revitalize the MCU.

>>154984197She's a morally dubious female character so she's automatically bisexualI know the Insomniac games said so, at least, I think the comics might have too.
Mmm, Peter having a harem of Jean Greys.>Famke!Jean Grey>X-Men Evolution!Jean Grey>Sophie!Jean Grey>this new Jean GreyYes, yes!
>>154984213Same. I only read some of the x-men comics and it was usually because of Nightcrawler, Magneto and Mystique but found Jean awfully vanilla and boring. Even worse with the Phoenix arc because I found the writers resorted to contrived reasons to stop her from simply fixing everything/steamrolling everyone in her path. This Jean feels more like a credible street level threat. Dangerous but with vulnerabilities that allow to take her down. Also very 2000's, like if I was watching Chroniclehttps://youtu.be/-YV8tJhGojY
>>154984236
>>154984105>Peter gets gravely injured by like a super powered group of mutants because he technically created the inhibitor collar>she goes batshit insane and starts murdering them with no hesitation to avenge him>after all of that, she cries and weeps for him while he's passed outThis stuff writes itself. It is RIGHT there.
>>154984275ooh yeah, jean really is chronicle. damn, that is a really good mix. honestly would be a fresh new dynamic to make jean the troubled little sister of the x-men instead of the co-leader with scott
>>154984213Comic Jean has the same problem that Cyclops has where their identity is so tied to the X-men that it's hard for them to stand out as their own character. Wolverine is the most popular X-men not just because he's cool, but because he's allowed to to his own thing pretty often. This is Jean's chance to stand on her own as a character and develop meaningful personal relationships with nonmutant characters, which isn't an opportunity shes ever really had before.
>>154984301I love that kinda shit so much.
Just asked a girl out and she said no. So much for the loneliness epidemic.
>>154984144>a significant percentage considers them siblingsI've seen some people saying this, but not a crazy amount. Also saw it less after it was confirmed Peter and Jean are a similar age. I still think the biggest thing cockblocking the pairing from actually happening is MJ being played by Zendaya.
>>154984275It's a shame the Phoenix saga has already been butchered twice because I feel like this Jean actually has the most groundwork for it, she's got legitimate issues and a proven habit of getting in over her head instead of "oops something happened to make me evil". I think they'll be to scared to try and pull from that well a third time, though, and probably for good reason.
>>154984322Even then, I feel like not everything has to revolve around the x-men. I'd rather Jean remain a small street level detective/hero collaborating with Peter and maybe even Daredevil, using her telepathy and possession to find damning proof to solve cases or apprehend criminals. And only use her telekinesis for extreme situations.
>>154984362Being part of a team means their personalities only have to be a certain way.Like "nice, straight laced guy" and "girl" are pretty boring on their own but they're pretty common ingredients in teams because it means they can bounce off of wilder characters but also be the ones that help direct the entire team in a functional direction.Scott especially suffers from this because he shines as the Leader Man of the X-Men, and with his punch vision incontinence, even without having to get brainfucked into being a dominatrix or possessed by a fire bird alien to grow a distinctive personality. When he's with a team, he can standout cause they're all a bunch of weirdos. But then they made him Malcolm X-Man or something for the last two decades, so.
>>154984417God I hope so, not everything has to be like the comics all the time. I like that they're doing their own thing and being experimental with Jean and ITS FUCKING WORKING
>>154984417>It's a shame the Phoenix saga has already been butchered twice That's why I really like the idea of he idea of Jean using the Phoenix to same Peter from Symbiote/Knull. We've seen Jean lose control of the Phoenix and get saved/stopped by her loved ones enough times at this point. Let's flip the script for once and let her use it to save someone she cares about that's lost control. Plus that's exactly the kind of subversive girlboss thing the studio would love.
>>154984436It's a shame She-Hulk was bad enough to get canned because the episodic superhero law format is the only place we'd get an episode with something like "Jean Grey uses telepathy to make lots of criminal accusations, then Jen/Daredevil have to try and find a way to make the accusations stick".
>>154984515>KnullNo, fuck that.
>>154984538They should take Jessica Jones as basis. That one did pretty well and was well directed. Also and I repeat, Purple Man would be an amazing foil to this "new Jean" that is trying to avoid murder and breaking the law as she follows Peter's example. And Jessica could be a sort of gruffy no-nonsense and wary rival/potential mentor figure
>>154975977Sadie Sink and Tom Holland are perfect for each other

>>154984585>>154984597Unironically, I do find them cute together actually. Even not on film. But dwelling into celebrity discussion is awful no matter what. My point still stands though.

How did "You have me" hit so much better than that line in Wandavision about love and grief? Is it because it sounds like something someone trying to get through to another person would say? >>154985100man i thought the cameos would be shit but the way they integrated them it honestly makes BnD the most "comic accurate" spidey movie so far, where spidey just randomly runs into heroes like he does in the comics
>>154985119I actually like the grief line, but it's one of those things that's always exactly as good as it is because it's more of a bit of advice, just a conciliatory phrase for grief, like the ball in the box metaphor or "this too shall pass"."You have me" hits as hard as it does because it carries the weight of being utterly specific to the context in which it is said. It's Peter letting his walls down and inviting Jean to do the same, offering forgiveness to someone who thought she was unforgivable and community to someone who thought she was alone. It's the culmination and encapsulation of the movies arc, that these two suffering people can lessen their suffering by helping each other.

I like how Peter being immune to Jean's abilities leans into the main theme of Spider-man in a way. He is an adult now so he has more responsibilities then ever. Being an adult means you have a level of agency above those you must take care of and protect. It also emphasizes that Peter always had choices to make in this movie and no one had the ability to take those choices away.
>>154985119Peter knows what Jean's been through, and Jean, since she probed his mind, also know that he can 100% empathize and understand what she's going through.Jean also knows that this isn't a trick just to get her to stop, even though that is part of it, but that Peter genuinely means it when he says "You have me", because that's just the kind of selfless person he is.Followed by him taking a bullet for her for no reason, so now she 200% knows that he wasn't lying since he immediately proved it, even though she already hurt him emotionally with MJ earlier, and then almost killed him by controlling all the soldiers and the hand to fight him, he still tried to protect her.Unless Jean already had a deep relationship with someone else prior to this, it's basically impossible NOT to fall in love with him after all of that.
>>154985119>>154986485It is very important that they had similar experiences AND Peter is the first person to ever consent to Jean's mind probing. Mind reading is potentially the most humiliating and intrusive thing you can do. The mind is the most private thing you can share. In real life you can't even do this, just share an interpretation of your mind. But Peter let Jean all the way in. When Peter says "you have me" it is the most honest thing she has ever experienced. She has him cornered in the root of his own brain. He can't lie to her. It probably amazes her. When he says it he means it. She doesn't know what to say. She hasn't seen this level of respect since her sister died.

In an AU cartoon setting how would Peter and Jean meet? Classmates? Neighbors?I am kind of liking the idea of feeding into the "rival" parallels and starting them off having loose encounters as children that eventually lead to their superhero lives Preferably I wouldn't want it to be like the cartoon where Ms Marvel is already an Avenger when Peter becomes Spider-man. I would prefer it if Jean and Peter meet before she has anything to do with the X-men like the MCU.
>>154983892I'm sure it will wind down pretty soon but the fact that so many threads hit bump limit from just talking about the dynamic between Spider-man and Jean Grey is impressive on its own. There really is a lot of material to work off of with these two characters

>>154987373No accident. They had Kishimoto show up on Disney Plus and had him say that Naruto villains are based on Spider Man villains by having them be in a dark place instead of pure evil.Jean is the villain of this movie and she fits his description of Naruto villains
>>154987383What anime/manga is going to get brought into spider-man 5?
>>154987317>I will save you>Which means I will also save myself>In the end we are both humansThis has to be about Jean and Peter. How can it not be? It can’t be about MJ and Peter since when he saves her, he hasn’t really saved himself narratively. He saved Jean with the “you have me” speech, he also saved himself by having the courage to let someone in after so long. Jean also saved Peter in return and doing so saved herself as she was able to embrace the good side in her when she breathed for Peter, keeping herself from falling deeper into the hatred she felt. There’s also the thematic parallel with the “in the end we are both human” verse since both of them are super-powered individuals carrying a lot of trauma and pain but both are only human deep down, and them saving each other by embracing their humanity was what mattered in the end, not fighting.>Going beyond I love youCome on, this is obvious. Taking a 50 cal to the back and breathing for someone to keep them alive for who knows how long goes beyond I love you. It’s action, it’s saying “you are worth my life” without actually saying it.

>>154987672Frankly when first watching it I was somewhat disappointed because right after he said "You have me" I was hoping she would respond or more (she did smile tho), but the bullet is a cockblock. And then I realized taking a bullet is a stronger showing of love because Jean is definitely falling for him by those two actions.

What really stuck out to me about this movie is that the previous 3 movies all tried to portray Peter as cute and sometimes used this as the butt of the joke. They made jokes about the fact that he was a teenager who played with legos and liked talking about moviesIn this movie it is not a joke. When he plays with legos with Ned it's genuinely played as a moment of emotional recovery from what Jean put him through. This movie was taking a massive risk by trying to portray Jean as forgivable. The thing about most anti heroes and redeemed villains is that they aren't bullies. Zuko is a bad guy but not willfully cruel to anyone who isn't in his way. Jean tried to maximize the emotional damage she could do to Peter.
>>154988688Nice job!

>>154986534>The mind is the most private thing you can share. In real life you can't even do this, just share an interpretation of your mind. But Peter let Jean all the way in.So are you saying Jean basically penetrated Peter with her thick, throbbing mind cock?
>>154988970post the pasta
>>154976696
>>154988970I woke up just in time to answer. If we're comparing it to sex, this is super sex. The reason is because you can't share your mind with anyone. It is impossible. You can share your interpretation of your thoughts through words and have them interpret what you mean and decide if you're being honest. No humans will ever know the true experience of having access to someone else's unfiltered thoughts and memories. Peter has a special resistance to Jean's powers, but he doesn't know how strong that resistance is. Letting her in is risking a lot. Letting her see all of his insecurities, his failures, every time he was humiliated or hurt. Every time he was wrong about something. Every time was IN the wrong about something. Dark moments like trying to kill Norman. Hell she might have seen all the porn he's seen in his life and how he felt about it. She knew that May was his aunt without having to be told about it meaning Jean read the context of the situation on a metaphysical level instead of just watching it. We call our genitals our private parts, but the brain is truly the most private part. Peter was the perfect guy for this situation, not just because he is immune to her powers but because he's Peter. He isn't a near-perfect god of a man like Steve or a womanizer like Tony. He's a level of good any normal person can attain. It is possible for someone like him and Jean to be happy. Jean got to see the world through his eyes and learn i she didn't have to be alone and that there's good people out there like May.
>>154987610Right? That was so sweet>>154987616I think it has to do with choice. A lot of villains chose to do evil out of greed or madness and need to be taken to a hospital or mental facility. As a matter of fact Jean was also taken out by Peter and put in a facility, only later did he realize he fucked up by leaving Jean to the shadowy glowie organization that wants to vivisect her to see what makes her tick. He was also correcting his fuck up in a way

Hey anime fans please explain the anime rival thing to me. The only anime I saw is dbz
>>154991674maybe Peter just isn't good with money
Can Jean actually read your thoughts or do she just kinda dive into your memories? If you were feeling horny about her, would she sense it through her telepathy?
>>154992541
>>154992552Im talking about the movie jean
>>154992160More to the point, it's a meme because Yelena, as someone played very ESL herself, says the New Avengers deal with "Big Potato Stuff," which is not actually something people say and so is a fun spin on "small potatoes." It was just an amusing line and since it turns out to be about Jean Grey, a fucking major X-Man character, there's a running gag to be had in comparing her to small potatoes.
>>154992541Jean gets all of your save data when she jumps into your mind, she was able to pretend to be MJ by reading her memories and she was instantly aware that May was Peter's aunt rather than his mother. So she knows everything you know once she inhabits your bodyThe movie doesn't make it clear if she can passively mind read or if she must dive into your brain to do it.
>>154992400I feel like Jean's shockwave would be a lot more violent and sudden than that, kinda like her bubble in the finale but everyone just busts instantly instead of freezing in place
>>154992433Characters that antagonize each other but have a lot of parallels and through conflict come to understand the other better. Also the "good guy" wants to save the "bad guy" from their inner darkness.
>>154992433We're going to use Naruto as our example because when people say "anime rival" they mean Naruto. DBZ has stuff like Vegeta and so on, but this particular dynamic being latched onto her is more like Naruto and Sasuke. In that manga, we're introduced to Naruto, a delinquent ninja who has a heart of gold. He has long disliked/been jealous of Sasuke, the cool popular ninja dude who always does everything better than him. However, the key part is they both have sad backstories, Sasuke in particular traumatized by his brother killing their parents, and their entire clan, when he was a kid (this will get stupid later but it need not detain us here). They are thrown together onto a team and eventually bond as they learn more about each other and their competitive nature manages to get them to break out of their shells more (Sasuke especially ends up getting wrapped up in Naruto's wake). Eventually Sasuke gets seduced by the dark side and the major emotional through arc of the rest of the manga is Naruto trying to get Sasuke to knock off his shit and come home. The details, as you can see, are very different, but it's been pointed out the core experience here is of a hero with troubles of his own being able to bond with a villain who can't be reached by anyone else because the hero knows what they're going through but is also enough of a big damned hero to put in the work to save the villain psychologically. And, more generally, the intense, aggressive emotions that tend to be involved in these dynamics are also a huge hot bed for shipping. Usually, cause it's a pair of dudes, it's fujo focused, but every so often someone will make a heterosexual pairing and it can get explosive. It's actually rare enough that I can't honestly think of one off the top of my head (Twin Star Exorcists is one, but unfortunately kind of chickens out on the more intense aspects of these cliches).
>>154992661>>154992433This. Anime always portrays rivals fighting as "I have to save you" like they're saving the other from becoming more evil. That is what Peter's doing at the end. If the entire climax sequence was an anime it would be completely standard for how this plays out.
>>154992613I hope its more of a mind dive thing, otherwise it'd be too boring.
Jean appeals to introverted misanthropes and im all for it
>>154992673Steven Universe also did the rivals to friends thing but poorly
>>154992541She directly mentions she doesn't need someone to tell her what she wants to know, so even very recent things are immediately open to her. But that's not quite what you're asking. The problem here is traditionally Jean, and other telepaths, are treated as mind readers by default, as if they can see or hear what someone is thinking as they think it. But in BND, until she "evolves," her powers are depicted as her jumping into a person and taking over whole cloth. She can then read all their memories, but as long as she's using her powers on you, "you're" not actually thinking at all. This is a pretty big plot point too, since it's how Spider-Man figures out Metzger was lying, since no one actually is thinking anything when the possession happens. There's not even a moment of it coming on them for anyone but Peter.I presume in the future, or perhaps now after her big outburst, she can develop enough fine control to kind of peak into a person's head instead of directly taking over. But for the movie, she "can't" read minds because her powers just shut you down while active.
Do you have any idea how amazing Jean would be as a final boss in a Spider-man video game? She can control the fucking environment and the in-battle dialogue would be dramatic stuff like>I can't let you do this >PEOPLE ARE MONSTERS>Jean it doesn't have to be this way>People like us don't get to be normal and it would win a trillion awards at game shows
>>154992673This is highkey interesting
>>154992347>>154992362Jean canonically cannot enter Peter's mind without his consent. She really, REALLY wants Peter to acknowledge her flirting but he doesn't so...she awkwardly stares at him at times hoping he leans in for a kiss. Also when they chill on the couch Jean curls up on his chest like a cat yet he STILL doesn't get that she wants him badly. Life is hard for a telepath when she can't beam her love directly into her crush's brain.
Emma is already supposed to be a dark reflection of Jean and that's difficult to pull off when this Jean is antagonistic by default. I wonder how they'll write her. Maybe they'll subvert it entirely and Emma is a positive-but-still-twisted take
>>154992769>battle of ideals>the final boss is literally the protagonist but decided to go on the dark path>in the end, it makes the player become undecided who is rightIt'd literally win the best story and cinematic for sure at least. It's not even that difficult to write something like that because the parallels are right there.
So from what im getting people prefer this movie's version of Jean better than the others
>>154990652>It's mostly sappy stuffProbably because the big moment for the ship is the "You have me" scene and that's read as such a sweet moment it makes the shippers lean a lot more romantic than horny.Raunchy shows already have sex and nudity and leave them in another headspace compared to shit that's just horny and suggestive. That's why you don't see much fanart of porn actresses or hentai of hentai franchises like Taimanin compared to, say, vtubers and gacha characters.
>>154992673Sasuke should've been a girl.
>>154985825No>>154986714More people used to know Firestar than Rocket Raccoon. You can put anyone in a movie now and normal fags will eat it up. Look at fucking Rivals. You got fucks pretending to like Cloak and Dagger. The Hood. I've seen Tokon fags pretend they know Danger.
>>154992888>You can put anyone in a movie now and normal fags will eat it up.They have to watch and like the movie first.
>>154992805I think there's room for parallelism. Especially if we meet an Emma who isn't on her redemption arc yet.>Jean is crude, aggressive, and impulsive in her pursuit of good>Emma is precise, tactical, and calculated in her pursuit of evilRefined cruelty vs unrefined kindness. Jean will call you a bitch while trying to save your life, Emma will flatter you and offer support while persuading you to kill for her.
>>154992673Jeanbros are character experts
>>154992844Jean usually doesn't leave much of an impression outside of "that girl Scott and Wolverine like"
>>154992760I like those limitations, would be fun to watch her practice and refine her abilities slowly.Would Peter let her have training rounds now since telepathy and mind control is an inherently "rapey" ability?
>>154992844She might end up becoming more popular than the original character like with Star Lord
>>154992899Who the fuck is Emma?
>>154992899Emma would just erase or change your memory if she does or says something embarrassing or wrong to keep her seeming perfect.
>>154992844I think she's just more exciting at the moment. We've gotten, good or bad, two versions of the most famous Jean stories and dynamics in movies. BND Jean is completely uncharted for most people and introduces a dynamic with another popular character that most people haven't even considered before. The movie then ends at the "beginning" of their "relationship," so it's very, very easy to start wondering what a future for the two of them might look like.Fanfic/Fanart/Fan discussion in general tends to be energized by possibility space. For the real autistic OC stuff, it's the ease of generating from a template. Hogwarts Houses, Troll Signs, Cutey Marks, Sonic Animals. But for characters, it tends to be relationships that are intense and dynamic but that aren't wrapped up or settled down. "What would it be like to see Jean and Peter interact daily in NY?" "What about when she joins the X-Men?" "Exactly how 'redeemed' is Jean now? Will she still be kind of a little shit?" All that stuff gets the brain juices churning more than something where you know how it goes.
Jean and Peter exhausted and lying on the ground next to each other after a Symbiote vs Phoenix battle would look so cool and epic

>>154992956This is one of the reasons why I'm not attcged to MJ. Having different Peters get with different girls in these different adaptations is more interesting.
>>154992911>Jean trains by taking over Frank everytime he's antagonizing Peter by forcing him to do fortnite dances until he's fully aware that she's moving him around
>>154992795Poor Jean...no wonder she's willing to rape him. Knowing MCU Peter he might still forgive her.

Will be allowed to live.">proceeds to turn everyone into mincemeat>she carries Peter him, bandaging him up and cries next to him on his chestPlease.
>>154993005Frank's not someone to trifle with, or she's gonna find a bullet round entering her skull. He already tried and almost did it if Peter didn't save her.She should try with Daredevil instead.
We are talking a lot about the fact that Peter and Jean are adaptation characters and therefore destined to move on to their designated official Marvel groups. Peter MUST go to MJ and Jean MUST go to Scott.... or... hear me outFriendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is based on the MCU, but who is Peter's love interest? Pearl Panang, aka Wave. A character who has literally never had anything to do with Spider-man and is associated with NAMOR.IN FACT MCU Peter has never met Harry and probably never will due to these movies not wanting to retread Raimi. His best friend is basically just Ganke. What they can do is experiment with his love life. They already broke the formula. They already showed Peter can be paired with non-spider-man-brand Girlfriends
>>154993067>Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is based on the MCUIt is?
>>154993028>Why did you save me?>My body just... moved on its own!
>>154993028This but in an Avengers film, right as she unleashes the Phoenix force. That'd be the "Steve grabs Thor's hammer" moment in the new Avengers.>>154993024Peter should rape her instead, would only be fair reparation after what she did in BND. Bet she wouldn't even mind.
>>154992979Huh couldn't identify her, too used to blonde Emma.
>>154993083At one point in development it was supposed to be what MCU Spider-Man was doing as a vigilante before Tony recruited him in Civil War, but it broke away from that concept pretty quick.
>>154993083Look at MayFriendly Neighborhood is trying to be a reshuffled version of the MCU. >>154993028If Marvel is smart they will be the main characters of the MCU
>>154993111>Huh couldn't identify her, too used to blonde Emma?
I don't have an issue with Zendaya, she was good in The Drama and her outfits on the NWH press tour were nice.
Pearl feels like a distraction love interest like Liz normally is. She's a foot taller than Peter and is in love with Tombstone. Friendly Neighborhood should give Peter his Jean so we can have a universe where they get together
>>154976470>I can't even look him in the eye What's he thinking about to have her so flustered

>>154993176I would think it's because of their last interaction. Jean didn't know what to say to him
Jean was pretty boring in the movie, I don't feel this ship as much as Yelena and Bob.
>>154982048You're forgetting ironman where she was traipsing around in a pushup bra and secretary outfit before being revealed as black widow to blow Ironmans mind. They then proceeded to do nothing interesting with her for another 46 movies.
>>154987805I mean every other manga he's written ended with the male and female leads fucking at the end complete with kids so most people assume that he's either fucking with everyone or there's some weird mandate to try and whore out more merch to Otakus that he's stuck with.
>>154993143Taking a break from shipping shit, she's been good for the role in all of the movies. People talk about girl boss, but she's mostly just snide to people. For what MJ is meant to be in this movie, it was a good job. People might forget, but telepathy isn't real. That scene where Jean is fucking with Peter through her IS Zendaya acting as Jean. Everything you felt in that seen was something Zendaya pulled off, except for the bits where Holland was acting Peter getting broken. The real problem is that while the characters have obvious in the moment chemistry, the movies have done little with the actual relationship beyond those fleeting of emotional connection. She was a bit character in Homecoming. She's more present in FFH, but there's not an actual relationship there. In NWH most of the movie is dominated by the plot. It's not until this one where we get any real conflict or look at what a Peter/MJ in this setting would look like and she explicitly says she can't love him because she's not the same person who fell in love with him. Nor is the potential of what we've seen as fresh and exciting as Jean is, where everyone imagines she'd just be doing what Zendaya MJ would be doing with Peter anyway, but with angst and mind powers.
>>154993258Zendaya is plain ugly, and Jean is hot and has more potential since she can actually help Peter and get into the action because of her abilities.Raimi's movies were the same, Mary Jane's drama was a slog to go through and didn't progress Spiderman's plot at all.
>>154992898>They have to watch and like the movie first.Yeah and given that it's a spidey movie people will watch it. You can have any character guest star here
It's not just the ship to me too (even though it is great and beautiful) but I genuinely dislike the narrative concept of Zendaya getting back together with Peter after explaining that she simply does not feel love for him. If she falls for him after that it makes her feel like a trophy
>>154993067The problem is that Jean is kind of a major, core X-Men character and her relationship with Cyclops is kind of a major part of their characters. As much as I like MCU Peter and Jean as a pair, I don't see them becoming a couple. I can't imagine Marvel taking Jean out of the X-Men to stick her with Spidey due to studio bullshit.
Peter and Jean is the kind of couple that only works as an epilogue, like Steve and Natasha. Their dynamic would lose spice if they actually started dating so you need to skip until after all of their adventures are over
So, which next thread are we using? I kind of don't want to use the pseudo-porn thread.
>>154993528>>154993551>>154993551>>154993551
>>154993352>has more potential since she can actually help Peter and get into the action because of her abilities. While I understand why people, specially in the context of the movies, might want a superhero love interest for Spider-Man. The only reason why a civilian girlfriend feels useless is purely due to shitty writers. Not every superhero girlfriend has to have some special skill or power. Sometimes just having a place to go back to is enough.
>>154988663An exposed nape is highly erotic.
>>154993861Not if you want an interesting dynamic. May be enough for the character but compared to someone who goes and do stuff, Jean is better
