It’s kind of fucked that the first half of homestuck had the best villains/antagonists and they either die or do nothing in favor of Caliborn and The Condesce. I find Caliborn funny but he fails at being seen as a threat and I know that kind of the point but because of LE doing almost nothing (He doesn’t even interact with his crew, the felt practically introduced the character) until the end makes Caliborn feel like an incomplete character. The comic did a lot with past and future versions of a character affecting the plot like with the exiles so I have no idea what happened here.Oh and the Condesce is boring and uninteresting as an overarching antagonist, I found the other Derse agents that weren’t killed off more investing.

I prefer LE as he is, evil with very little rhyme or reason, words aren’t necessary when your end goal is kill everything and everyone. Your actions exist solely to serve that one goal. California already did all of the typical villain shit and talked enough for a lifetime. LE doesn’t need to speak as the final boss doesn’t concern himself with what comes next, there’s nothing only victory and destruction or death. He executes the nature of his threat in battle in and allv1 on 2 fronts and where both lose they show one final aspect of the kind of villain he is: a sore loser and a cheater. One goes full cosmic nuke upon losing his head while the original left no true survivors in the most petty way of incurable poison. Even with davepeta’s little UT battle he’s throwing neigh undodgeable patterns and then just drops pretense and floods the entire box
