Every episode after the pilot sets things up should have been collective character exploration with one character getting the bulk , thru pomni as the newbie so we learn pivotal info about them. No other characters were explored, the central focus character was an npc who dies and is replaced later, and the lesson she learned in it could have been saved for her interaction with kinger. Ultimately, the most fun things we liked turned out to actually be distractions that prevented important info from being elaborated on.
