Previously Hank Pym, Tigra, Quicksilver, Justice, Speedball and Jocasta decided to set up the Avengers Academy to train a group of teenagers how to be proper heroes: Veil, Striker, Reptil, Finesse, Mettle and Hazmat. But there was more to it as Finesse learned that they were also worried about the kids becoming supervillains due to their backgrounds. Some had been tortured by Norman Osborn during his time in control of HAMMER, Hazmat's powers forced her into a containment suit, Finesse may possibly have been the daughter of Taskmaster, etc.During this, Finesse blackmailed Quicksilver into giving her personal lessons or else she'd reveal that the actions such as House of M he'd fobbed off on a Skrull impostor were actually him while at the Raft, Finesse, Veil and Mettle attempted to kill Osborn (starting a riot in the process) but ultimately backed off. I feel like writers tend to not bother with the whole thing that these cosmic abstracts are bigger than what the human mind can comprehend and thus seeing them is the kind of thing that could drive a person mad because they were never meant to.
