after seeing the previews, I can see why this was shelved and wrote off as a loss initially. people treated this like it was the next roger rabbit and was an absolute shame it was never going to see the light of day, but it turns out it's just cheap cel shaded cgi overlayed on live action. I'm sure it will still be funny and entertaining, but it looks far away from the gem people hyped it up to be. its like warner bros response to the chip and dale movie, but they realized it was mediocre, tried to bury it, but hordes of animation virgins on twitter bitched enough for them to release it and they better goddamn watch it
