Glutiva Chocolate was a brand from one of her prior comics, and the spokesgirl was actually a character from that comic named Mariko, Here's the art in question from that old site>Mariko really loves chocolate, so of course for her White Day present Mentos had to get her something in that vein. He bought out Glutiva Chocolate, the super-premium company, and had them hire Mariko as the new "Glutiva Chocolates Girl" and star her in their advertising. It must be said that she really enjoyed it, although it all just went straight to her waist and it did get just a LITTLE embarassing wearing those clingy dresses on her new figure.

Steph confirmed on one of the old forums(according to tvtropes anyway, I've never seen a screengrab) that Sucrans and Usaginarians are closely related species, saying "It would be pretty weird for a meat based species to evolve on a sugar planet" (so seemingly Sucrans came from Usaginar)

This is easily the largest arc Steph ever did and it's not even close, it's like 140 pages. For comparison, the previous arc was 89 pages, the longest issues of Muertitos like Snow Ski or PETA were around 65 pages, Ivy from Intragalactic is I think 59 (see that next week)

Steph's output in 2005, 2006, and 2007 was pretty insane. Remember alongside Creamy Beamy and her side art she was also putting out a ton of Muertitos pages, about double in 2006 what GPCB got. (we're up to September 2007, at that point Muertitos was in the middle of Issue 19 Spears of Heaven with the bizzaro ransom and spotted owls)

Beamy and rebooted Muertitos are impressive flexes, output wise, but I think Intragalactic is the strongest contender for "Steph is basically a genderswapped Scott McCloud with a fat kink." And I mean that in a fully complimentary way. Next level humor, amazing cast (axolotl fuckboy! Tribble themed rat girl with a Slavic accent! Rusty somehow managing to not be Bender!) and fully colored to boot. That's the real lost gem of Steph's work to me: that we never got to see 600 pages of Benjamin Glee lasering and fucking her way across the galaxy. What a treat that could've been.

IntraGalactic never fully spoke to me as I felt a lot of the middle stories were kinda eh, maybe just not for me, but I'll fully admit Ivy is one of Steph's best arcs (and also I think the last of this era, she finished Pepper Penwell pretty early on in Ivy so Ivy's finale was the last finale to any arc she'd do in that field). Then again if you asked me 5 years ago I'd be a lot less critical of GPCB and a lot harsher on Muertitos so who knows? I wonder if Benjamin Glee is also a distant descendant of the Kobayashi family, Steph confirmed Nutria from Dystopia was hence her...habits (Reiko's entire maternal line has that horny curse, hence her grandma is a female Happosai)
