Has a comic or cartoon ever made you genuinely angry as a kid? Or even as an adult? For me it was Johnny Test and the later seasons of FOP
>>155229070I'll give it to you, this is a lot subtler than the previous ones
>>155229070Fresh AiredaleThat cartoon short made me UNREASONABLY angry.
>>155229070Eliot Kid, that little shit. Genuine anger. I also did not like Toddworld.
>>155229070>wait for invader zim to come out with new episodes>these come on insteadAnd to think they were hellbent on making BUM (and Sumos to a lesser extent) the next huge thing.
Yup, this show for being worse than smiling friends because:It had even LESS seasonshttps://youtu.be/1nM7ghV8xyI?si=_MSxLKeuMw27BsCL
>>155229536I still find it hilarious that they wanted to make a Butt-Ugly Martians movie.
>>155229070Not /co/ but the Sonic X episodes where Eggman blocks out the sun like Mr. Burns and all of humanity takes Eggman’s side over Sonic’s is the angriest animation has ever made me as a kid. Everyone was made so retarded it was unbelievable. The story actually ends with Sonic having to explain how the moon’s rotation works like the entire planet has the brains of a second grade child. It was also a two-part episode where the second part was delayed for a month so 4kids could shill their One Piece dub in X’s timeslot, so for a month Eggman won in the most retarded scheme imaginable.
>>155229070This comic book series. An utter disgrace to comics.
>>155230731Still, it was pretty funny reading it during storytimes. This place was a lot more fun when you were allowed to show genuine emotion about something instead of being forced to hide behind 5 layers of irony to avoid getting vibe check by Milinneals and Zoomers who have an allergic reaction to sincerity.
>>155229070Seasons 4, 5, and 6 of Gumball
>>155230387Season 1 of Sonic X is just shit in general. 2 is pretty good if you just treat it as a watchable SA1/2 and don't get hung up on what they changed, and 3 is genuinely good in it's own right.
>>155229070Ruby GillmanFirst and only time a cartoon for children frustrated me
>>155229070My Gym Partner is a monkey annoyed the shit out of me the 2 times i tried watching it.I usually don't stick to cartoons i hate
>>155229070The ATLA comics, probably.
Transformers Energon for ruining everything that made Armada great
>>155229070Family Guy "peter-assment", that kind of bullshit is all too real
>>155229070The Last Will And Testament Of Charles Xavier.Anyone ever wants definitive work showing someone to be a hack, read what Bendis did in this story.
Disappointed, yeah, but not truly mad.Until fucking X-Men 97 S2. I didn't even finish the final episode, desu. The entire thing felt like a filler, I'm not bothering with next one.
>>155229070>Boys vs. Girls episode>Girls always win every single time no matter what.
>>155232524This
>>155229070Cartoon adjacent but I remember being absolutely PISSED as a kid regarding how Super Shredder went out. He was hyped to hell and given this big scary introduction and the turtles don't even beat him, they're not even really seen with him! He just fucking knocks some boards over and dies immediately. I couldn't believe it when I watched it and as a kid never watched the movie again, it was the biggest middle finger as an audience member I had ever been given. Even the third movie had fonder memories, and that's saying something!Go ninja FUCK YOURSELF
>>155229070Can't say a cartoon ever made me feel "angry." I certainly felt tons of cringe though, particularly from this fucked-up French cartoon.
>>155232168>2 is pretty good if you just treat it as a watchable SA1/2 and don't get hung up on what they changedThat was the exact season I planned on watching first, since I haven't seen Sonic X in a looooooooong time. But from what I remember, though, Chris was the worst part. Hopefully he has less screentime in later seasons.
>>155234803Do you think God stays in Heaven, because he too, lives in fear of what he’s created here on Earth?
>>155229070Many such cases, although a good majority of them are more of sheer bafflement that they exist than actual anger.
>>155229083The days of the fun shitposting ppg threads are gone unfortunately
>>155234882Wish I was around for those days. I'm thankful I got to somewhat enjoy the show on my own, but I've never given it a fair shake in order before. Growing up On-Demand and junk, episodes were thrown together randomly, so I basically saw Savino and Craig episodes at the same time.
>>155229070>be the son of a world-famous billionaire rockstar>you live in a literal mansion and your parents actually care for you>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! THIS IS TORTURE, I’M GOING INSAAAAANE!!!!!
>>155234803what the fuck is this?
>>155232168Those episodes were in season 2.
>>155235089Chicken Town. Only 9 English episodes are available, though it's supposedly on Netflix. (It's just too bad the show is so obscure that it isn't even catalogued properly on UNOGS.)
>>155229070>family member gets into a situation or the family meets a random stranger>the dog and little boy come in and proceed to torture the living hell out of them>the person gets very pissed and says the dreaded two words>he fucking dies and the little boy has a massive tantrum over his "dead" dog>the family realizes the dog saved the day>they force the person who was just assaulted by that horrid dog to apologize to it>he comes back up and he and the family get away with all of their actions unpunished, despite ruining the life of some random citizenEvery single episode went exactly like this. It was frustrating to say the least, but then again what would you expect from a cartoon based off a Windows 95 screensaver.
>>155234986The Dad also retired from touring so he could spend more time with his family only to get shit on by his dweeby son for not being a normie. I don’t know how anyone was supposed to relate to the kid, he was such a jackass.
>>155235125What a horrible moral for a kids show.
>>155232168The moon Mr Burns thing was the resolution of Eggman blowing up half the moon in the SA2 arc
>>155235125Wasn't Robert Norman Smith in this show?
>>155235801Yeah he's the dog, but we later found out he didn't voice the red-headed nerd.
Genuinely, in the literal sense, I don't understand how you could actually get angry at a cartoon. Even if it depicts something you like. The closest I can think of is I remember I used to watch Family Guy but then eventually it started to devolve into gross-out humour and just stopped being entertaining. So I just stopped watching it. Like, if you think something is just bad then it's bad. But to get angry about it is like assuming you have no control over being able to stop watching it. I can see getting annoyed if you were *forced* to watch something you thought was terrible, but like how the fuck is cyber bullying real nigga just walk away from the screen like nigga close your eyes.
>>155235808>hangs around a literal toddler>said toddler was eventually voiced by an actual kid named Cole Caplan after DIC Sailor Moon stepped down>Cole and Rob often intersected in show roles, coincidentally playing the MC and the dog respectively in Rolie Polie Olie as wellHopefully nothing bad happened to him…
>>155229070I absolutely hate it when characters in shows never realize the truth. That's why I find "Miraculous: Lady Bug and Cat Noir" unwatchable. I can't stand three seconds of the two not knowing their secret identities. I can't even enjoy the fanservice as a result. The only thing I want from this show is for Adrian and Marinette to know all the truth about each other, and for Adrian to know all the truth about his father. The non-canon movie actually did all that in the end, but it was mediocre for other reasons.
>>155229070>suffer through most of 2000s Squadron Supreme>last book has Hyperion getting his shit pushed in by evil guy with similar powers>black Whizzer kidnaps Nighthawk who was content to see whiteys destroy each other and takes him to the fight>last page picrel>OH SHIT HERE WE GO>volume ends>???>series was canceled, artist left for DCZero payoff
>>155229070lowkey wish tom would just skewer jerry on a rusty spike. literally half of the episodes are jerry going out of his way to antagonize tom and then hiding behind a tougher bodyguard like spike, rules loophole, or just his superior evasion abilities as a small rodent. jerry never once faces his rival head-on.
I never had a massive meltdown. but the following go under my skin. Steven Universe cause Rebecca for refusing to develop organically. Steven Universe future for retconning. Quack Pack. Cat Noir from Ladybug doesn't kill his abusive dad. Modern She Ra for promoting abuse attachment. The guy from Lajiao Holes not getting killed off.
>>155237706>Steven Universe future for retconningI also thought it gave Volleyball very little attention, like a pitifully low amount. They drop this bombshell that Pink was abusive, only to never mention it again.
>>155229070I will never remember it but I watched this cartoon as a kid where the villain was this blonde vampire girl and she gets defeated at the end and I was seething because I thought she was crazy hot. Never been able to find it since.
>>155229070There was that episode of King of the Hill where Hank was supposed to be in charge of a shelter during a storm, felt like everyone in town was on some hyper stupid pills or something but Hank got shit on a few times for no good reason.
>>155234824S1/2 Chris is divisive, especially during the S2 finale, but S3 Chris is better and way toned down. Fun fact, he actually spends all of S3 as an 18yo man stuck in his 12yo body. Outside of the first and last episode, this literally never comes up or directly factors into the story.>>155235099>>155235697Goddamn you're right. I forgot about those episodes, and wow this is stupid, right down to Sonic apparently giving a physics lesson.
>>155237780>he actually spends all of S3 as an 18yo man stuck in his 12yo body.Ah, like Marco Diaz. Then I'm certain I'll skip Sonic X's first season LOL.
>>155229070That season of Regular Show where CJ became a supporting character, and because it's Linda Cardellini, she was incredibly likable. It looked like Mordecai was finally going to grow up before they showed a lot of build-up that he was moving past Margaret. Then the season finale happened, and Mordecai had to look like a complete loser by saying he picked neither CJ nor Margaret. The entire season was basically one big waste of time. I remember watching it with my siblings and being so upset that my time was wasted that I told them I was never going to watch Regular Show ever again. I never watched the finale or the movie because I really did feel like they insulted me as a viewer. Even the justification they gave by saying that Mordecai just wasn't mature enough and still had feelings for Margaret felt so contrived.
>>155237722It's assassination of Greg's character bothers for me but that's a close second. Also, I find calling her volleyball is tone deaf when telling the audience that she's been abused by diamond allegedly.
>>155229070yeah
>>155229070It never really made me mad as much as it was just one giant headscratcher, but in the Alvin direct-to-video special where the Wolfman is a real person, Theodore is walking in the neighbourhood when he gets attacked by the Wolfman and runs back home talking about how he got attacked by a big hairy man. Dave just lets him sleep it off, and over the course of the movie Theodore starts mutating into this half-dog half-chipmunk and the boys realise he really was attacked by the Wolfman. Here's the thing and why it confused me as a kid. Even if the Wolfman wasn't a person, wouldn't Dave just get him checked up in the vet/hospital and see how bad the damage was? Since he didn't take Theodore in, that just left the kid either tanking in a scab or worse getting very sick. I don't imagine the vet fees would be very expensive in 1999, either. In an attempt to make it more grounded than "The Chipmunks meet Frankenstein's monster", they raised many small questions that gets the gears grinding.PointlessHub brought this up with regards to Deep Impact vs Armageddon where the more grounded a take is, the more questions will be brought up in contrast to "the meteor is fucking evil". Nowadays, I realise the actual answer is "wait that's simply because they didn't want to draw more backgrounds". They did hand that shit off to Japan on a Saturday evening, after all.
>>155229070I was kind of mad at Teen Titans for dedicating its last episode to giving Terra shippers a big fat middle finger.
Call me MrEnter but SpongeBob season 6
>>155229070A lot of episodes from The Cramp Twins really used to piss me off when I was younger. They would air and rerun the shit out of that show on CBBC. Looking at those episodes now, I don't know why they got me that mad, probably because I was annoyed by the blue one constantly 'winning' and getting what he wanted without deserving it. The parents acting like total lobotomites as well
>>155234986Accurate summary.
>>155229536>Super Duper SumosRealistically, how were the Japanese not offended by this?
>>155229536even at the time 3d animation was so ugly idk why studios pushed until it got to being half way decent. even big budget, highest end 3d still looked like ass back then
>>155234986And to think this show only exists because Saban thought it was a bright idea to try and backstab Gene Simmons by speaking to his business partners in Hebrew, without realizing Gene was Jewish himself.>"You asshole, I’m one of you!"
>>155229070Yuckie Duck, seeing it ruined my week
>>155230731The story is steaming hot dogshit but the story times of pain when it was being released were some of the best times I had on 4chan and others.
>>155233668South Park and Chaotix were only good ones to do this concept. Chaotix because it gave the genuinley correct answer (your gender has less to do with your talents than your individual strengths) and South Park because it had the boys win one because fuck your misandry.
>>155229070Any episode that reuses tired plot tropes like>Character gets money and becomes an asshole and then loses all the money.>Character starts a project and another character takes it over and makes it there own.>Uh oh the two characters who don't get along have to share a room!It just reeks of lazy writing.
>>155229070The smol poni show made me feel legit angry when the new showrunners decided to create a poochie character, shill her as the new show protagonist and even remake the entire show to make it all about her
>>155229536Sad fact. BUM was Nickelodeon’s first CGI show as it premiered a few months before Jimmy Neutron.
>>155230387That episode was supposed to be satire and you all unironically took it seriously.
>>155229070
