People generally don’t spend this much time aggressively debunking theories they genuinely believe have absolutely no chance of being true. It's the same reason people shit on Lucifer/Alastor; you don't have to like it, but it's obvious that's the eventual 'pair'. Lute/Eve is contentious precisely because there’s enough there that nobody can completely dismiss it anymore.

I 100% acknowledge that a lot of the characters design elements are similar because of the stylistic choices. However, I do think there is a huge resemblance with Roo and Lilith. Especially in those few drawings Viv made for the pilot, where she has her different more Eve styled bangs, she has the red sclera and the white irises exactly like the old Roo art we have.
