I'm still reading Homestuck for the first time, now reinvigorated by the knowledge that Delfi exists, and I must say I am really just surprised at how much it excels in these little side-plots, they are my favorite thing about the comic.The Midnight Crew, The Exiles and other smaller sideplots like these serious business guys, this page in particular I think is my favorite page so far in the entire thing: /homestuck/3956 Genuinely just made me feel a deep sense of care for both Nannasprite and Fedorafreak made all the more intense by seeing Dadbert passing away a few pages ago, It's just phenomenal writing that I literally had NO IDEA whatsoever from the like over a decade of knowledge of Homestuck, all I knew about it since 2015 I guess was "Evil Vriska so cool toxic woman! hahaha troll yaoi cum in buckets!", honestly absurd how much everything I saw about the series undermined how good it is, I guess people just have different tastes and care about different things and the majority of people cared about stuff I don't really care about like Vriska and Karkat but anyways, I am just really amazed by this, I love it, I love the Midnight Crew I love the Exiles I love Fedorafreak and Nannasprite I love how all these side-plots connect to the main story It's just so good, I feel like Bro Strider's entire existence fits into "sideplot" as well with how much importance he has despite being just Dave's stupid ass dad, I really like all of it so far, I think Andrew Hussie really also excels in making certain pages feel impactful, I felt the same feeling reading this Nannasprite page as I did when I saw the Gamzee mourning his lusus page, even if it's only shown for 1 page, 1 illustration, and then moved on, it really is just very impactful, I like it a lot, genuinely I wish more people knew about all this but It's probably too much for the average person to understand and the public perception will remain "Vriska hype moments and shitty movie posters at the start"
