Really wish this series was re-scanned by someone, issues 1-2 and 12 are in great quality but everything else is far far lower.>>155561030I can still hear G2 Megatrons MEGATRON ATTACK sound, or the laser blast sound or the tank thread sfx. I should check if my old toys still work or if battery leakage ate out the innards... they are still boxed, some of them are trashed to shit but a few others like G2 Darkwing are in primo condition with not even a single rocket missing. I had the EU release of Overlord but it's so damaged now.

Stil, having the Aerialbots, Sideswipe, and the Dinobots prominent, as well as Optimus having his G2 additions in truck mode. Defensor was meant to be released so that could explain Hot Spot. Then there's oddities like Sideswipe being his G2 colors but the dinobots being in G1 colors still.I do wonder if Kup and Hot Rod were considered for G2 releases or Furman just liked them. Leaning to the later because the thing with G2 is that the toyline seemed to want to ignore anything from Season 3 onward in favor of the earlier season toys along with modern toys meant to be contemporary vehicles, not futuristic.

For some reason the TF fandom back in the day maintained that he was a step down from Yaniger’s art, a weirdly personal opinion that made its way to the TFwiki. Personally I don’t see much of a difference between his and Derrick Yaniger’s art, both feel kinda like Geoff Senior too.

Combat hero Optimus is sort of the missing link between the two since he's got the G2 body with a purple body and face. In the interim there's also the crocodile Megatron too, who's green like G2 Megatron. Similarly Laser Optimus has similar colors to ape Optimus Primal.

Due to poor sales Generation 2 suffered the same fate as its predecessor, and Marvel would never publish another Transformers comic (but the universe they made would return under other titles).
