You know, I think the Mushishi concept for a firebending Avatar isn't half bad. Imagine a post Pavi/Nisha world. Both realms have entered an era of peace and tranquility the likes of which haven't been seen in many years. The sisters have secluded themselves inside a secluded desert, and only make occasional visits to the other nations/havens. We follow a man/woman in his late twenties, born in a modest family, that likes to travel around the world. In truth, he is the new Avatar, because one of the sisters passed away many years ago, and the other has decided to keep it a secret until she passes away as well. So there is an unknown Avatar roaming around the world as a disciple/messenger/envoy of Nisha or Pavi and goes around fixing little problems along the way. Episodes can span weeks to months. No drama necessary, just a chill Avatar living an incredibly uncomplicated life and trying to keep it that way for the next Avatar(s).
