I'm entirely willing to overlook how dumb the Korra subplot is starting to sound if there is any real truth that each chakara point messes with people's emotions in different ways which means this opens up other writing possibilities. Think about it, say this was originally intended to be a means to get Korra her powers back but then entirely by accident Asami learns the horrible way how the chakaras aren't for normal people and how each chakara accesses the mind and makes you act in ways that make you feel comfortable or uncomfortable. Pavi at the peak of her power and ability will be like Aang near the battle with Ozai and Nisha at the peak of her ability will be like Korra near the end of book 3 where she tard raged into the Avatar state and started blind fighting out of survival instinct. There's things here that irk me. They act like Pavi opened her own chakra point, but a big glowing line in the sky seemed a bit much just for that. I liked the higher stakes when people suggested the planet itself had spirit energy points analogous to chakra points, and those getting stuffed are what fucked over the planet.I'm also surprised the afflicted are still, you know, afflicted. No fixing the chakra point as a quick fix. I don't mind a lack of an easy out, but I'm surprised they didn't have the girls use spirit healing or whatever to take the red energy out of people. Maybe Nisha will figure that out, who can say?Did they still show the red crystals infesting Ellora? If the afflicted are still around I figure the crystals should be there, still growing, still infecting people.

The Azula thing really seemed to be more of a physical block, which is why getting hit by a rock in the exact place undid it. Begs the question why Katara or another healer couldn't detect or break the block, but we could suppose breaking the block needed to be more traumatic and risky than Katara was willing to mess with.
