Just finished Episode 13
I wanted to like it, I really did. But they made it complete Jeetslop. It felt like they were shoving Indian culture down my throat every 20 seconds. Second I realized the entire show was about unlocking her seven chakras, I was fucking done.
Are they going to fucking do seven seasons of this shit?
I can't wait until Ellison cancels this shit.

What is the point of bending in this show? The cultural roots that made each bending have a sense of uniqueness is completely gone. An air bender is whatever gay twink or responsible dad does throwing windy shit. Combat-wise, fire and water bending are pretty much the same shit with a different color, in fact ice is more recognizable than water bending at this point, I guess Earth bending gets a little favoritism because it's easier to be creative with it. The show didn't even bother making Ellora be particularly characterized by its bending because benders can be anywhere and anyone, so I wouldn't expect that from the other havens. Bending is both unimaginative in fights as well as inconsistently awful at showing whenever a "master" at bending like Karthik is actually powerful, whether because of his amazing technique or because the plot demands them to be strong for a scene and sometimes not that strong for another. Like, the most unique part of the show so far is when Pavi and Nisha blast through the red lightning of evil shit. Even the shitty minimalist symbols for each element reflect how little bending actually has any personality in this show, it doesn't feel like a system the writers want to really play with.

I said it last week thread as well, making nisha the vaatu/troubled avatar just doesn't work here because she's not enough of a brat or asshole. Then also she's much weaker than pavi and actually the one holding her back. Also not only does she get kiddie trauma that she killed her parents she also knows she crippled her sister and can't control her powers. Then add on to that pavi despises her now so typical twin misunderstanding/hate each other storyline. An add on to all this pavi gets a power boost and real avatar moment where she easily outpaces nisha and makes her look like the bad avatar to pavi's good avatar. People literally said "wow there are two avatars and one is actually helping us". Like I feel by the end of this series /co/ will actually hate pavi and love nisha just because the show will keep shitting on her for no reason. In hindsight the signs were there already sadly

I wonder how the show is going to justify the parents trying to abandon Nisha in the night. If Nisha's outbursts were dangerous to Pavi, then why didn't one parent stay with Pavi and the other with Nisha?

Their house is still standing. The parents don't seem to be afraid of leaving Pavi to sleep in the same bed as Nisha. Nobody seems wounded, there aren't demonic claw marks or scorch marks in their nice little home.

So then it's probably not like The Exorcist or something where Nisha is totally possessed by some murderous entity that could kill them all at any moment.

So we assume that Nisha is still dangerous enough that the parents want to raise Pavi safely away from her. Or maybe the parents want to take Pavi to another Haven, so the twin Avatars are split between two White Lotus cells.

But why wouldn't one parent stay behind with Nisha?

If we assume Nisha was having dangerous episodes of energybending, then what was the parents' plan? Let her new guardian get exploded by her meltdown at being abandoned by her family?

Padding out too many episodes with this drip-fed mystery, and it looks like the show is still milking the mystery for more drama that is eventually going to be resolved in one vision sequence.

That might explain the "aura" aspect sure, but the other aspects just come down to a lack of proper art direction and their stupid decision to cut costs (I would assume) by going with an inept Frenchoid studio instead of one of the several prior Korean studios they worked with.
The "high effort" animation we got from episode 13 was still barely at the level of the average episode from ATLA or TLOK. Everything just LOOKS bad in this show, even outside of any gripes with writing, pacing, etc.

I'm not really sure what the citizens would assume now. The Avatar supposedly stopped the red dome, but then there was also this one-legged girl who saved the Avatar and claimed that she was actually the Avatar, and they were already searching for the Avatar's twin sister before so what's the deal with this crippled girl? Would people connect the dots and realise both of the girls are the Avatar? Or would they think there's been some weird misunderstanding and there was actually just one girl instead of two? Or would they have a rumor mill with lots of conspiracy theories about what actually happened back there?

Then during the city's near destruction he was almost comical with how he was trying to flee.
