I would want the end point being where the futa barbarian genuinely loves and cares about her slaver while point being for the reader that it's something cruel the princess did for the barbarian rather than being genuine reciprocal relationship.I would want it to be more convoluted and devious rather than something simple like, "oh she used magic to twist her mind".And now that I have written this I realize I probably should just go lurk the slavery general.

Hell, maybe the barb even internally rationalizes that all the abuse is purely performative, that it's expected for a slave to suffer abuse even worse than hers, and her mistress is shielding her from that. Maybe this is an organic rationalization, maybe this has been fed to her by her mistress, or a confederate.
