When the latent is done it needs to be decoded with VAE back into something you and I can look at, a pixel image. Compared to the pixel space, it is at a lower resolution, more compressed. Your model only draws while in latent space. So if you have an image that needs some modifications, it needs to be turned into latent space, in other words encoded, and after the drawing is done, you need to decode it.Latent upscale requires high denoise, so it will change your image a lot. I suggest you use a controlnet to guide the upscale.
