I'm a Japanese creator making a bio-punk hentai manga. This is my original character, "Altana-chan." Looking for some feedback!Do you think this would sell globally? I'd love to hear your honest opinions.
>>11443437Shes cute, is she blonde or a brunette?
>>11443437maybe you meant to try >>>/h/ ? /d/ is for weird stuff, which i am assuming you are not going for if you are curious about how broad its appeal is
Thank you! I'm so happy to hear that! Her hair is blonde. She is a bio-engineered lifeform created for sexual purposes, and her mind is controlled so she can be treated like an object.
>>11443441"Thanks for the advice! I thought /d/ might fit because of the 'dark' setting like 'Reflatting' (memory wipe) and 'Emotion Control'. But I'll try posting on /h/ as well to see the broader appeal. Thanks!"
Interesting
Thank you! I know sexaroids are a classic sci-fi trope, but I came up with this setting while thinking about the actual technical feasibility of creating them!
>>11443437She looks cute. What will sell well in Japan will sell well globally. Everyone is a pervert after all.As far as for profit distribution and sales goes, the west doesn't have a lot of options. I heard DLSite doesn't allow foreign customers anymore.Fakku does exist to allow japanese creators to sell uncensored world wide. I hate the creator of the site though.Fanbox is an option although some people will bitch about the required censorship.Patreon and other sites like that can be difficult due to their ever changing standards.
>>11443488Thanks for the sincere advice. It really encourages me to think that my work has some value! In the Japanese indie market, if you don't have fame or follow a popular trend, your work often gets buried before anyone even looks at the content. I was hoping that brothers overseas might judge a work based on its actual quality and potential... but I guess reality is tough everywhere.Since I’m not a full-time creator, my time is limited, but I’ve realized I just have to keep at it—slow and steady—to build up my results in the local scene first. I really appreciate your valuable insight!
