This might be technically incorrect, but from what I understand, inpainting is selecting (masking) a specific part of an image and telling the AI to run again but only in that area. I use ForgeUI so if you're on Comfy it might be different but I believe the terms are cross compatible. Important thing to keep in mind is that the AI will read ALL your prompts (cause it doesn't know any better) and apply it to that one area. If your denoise is too high, you'll get weird shit like picrel and may need to prune down your prompt to focus on what you're fixing, or lower denoise. YMMV adjusting "whole picture" or "only masked" in the Inpaint Area section.To fix it, mask the area you want (the hand), set your denoise somewhere moderately low (around 20-25 to start) and run it. Increase slowly and eventually it should figure it out. Pretty much an alpha version. But that doesn't make it less fun to use.

On the gens with full body it melts the fuck out on both, as is reasonable to expect.What I see is Anima is "undetailed"/simple by default, which may be helping the impression it doesn't fuck up, when it simply isn't trying to cram 500 things in 4 pixels (which is a good thing).I think you're confusing clean for detailed though.

It's also important to note that it's not supposed to support realism so the baseline for anatomy is probably indeed more abstract and less detailed than sdxl which is a good thing imo. And upscaling not being a real thing with anima yet also doesn't help. But the potential is obvious and I hope they succeed in replacing sdxl for anime smut.
