This is fine for normal games but for size games you don't want hovering feet.- Level Of Detail becomes a non-trivial problem once feet have to become more detailed when you're about to be stomped, hands becoming more detailed once you're about to be picked up.- Something as simple as collision with the giantess becomes computationally very expensive in real time at scales of about 1:1000

If you didn't care about it, then it didn't hamper your enjoyment of the next areas, as you didn't really need to know any of this information to progress. I'm sad the game stopped getting updated. Some of the last things posted on Kanahebi's Twitter looked like new potential areas/encounters. Also I've been playing Snatcher for the Sega CD recently, and I wonder if Little Snatcher was gonna copy some of its plot points (basically that synths/terminators are killing people and taking their place).
