Maybe some really high grade slaves get auctions, but the vast majority of slaves are just livestock. It's only right they're bought from a aisle. Remember that slaves don't understand money, they have no idea what its like to buy things because they're the things being bought, so if you want to scold one when she's being especially difficult you need to relate her price to what she can understand. Most slaves are worth many years of bare minimum gruel rations, but if you have a personal slave that you try to make as pleasurable as possible then all the human hygiene and makeup you buy her makes her far more expensive to maintain. Mine was a bargain bin bitch to begin with, so I tell her that I bought her for 10 months worth of her current rations, and a beast like her could always be consigned to the mines if she isn't grateful.
