I have a 1998 GMC that the center console vinyl is starting to bubble up. I was thinking of using a syringe and infect glue under it then push it down. What kind of glue should I use to do thi.

E6000. Use a hairdryer to heat the vinyl so you can reform/flatten it before you glue it down.

Thanks, they have it at my local Menards. I'll post how good it worked.

Cool beans. That stuff stays kinda rubbery when it cures so you won't have hard spots or lumps when you're done.

PS, keep your windows down for 24 hours if possible. It stinks like a mofo.

Me and grandma use this shit to glue lights into our ceramic trees so people can't steal them at the store that sells them for us, I've ended up using it for all sorts of shit over the years, lol
I think I E6000'd one of the strips of door trim on my car, even.

I just got around to getting the glue today I'm gonna try it when I get home.

Alright heating it up made it look a lot better by itself but the glue is too thick to go through the syringe needle I either need to get a bigger syringe or try to cut it with something and thin it out

Use a sharp, clean razor to make tiny slits close to where the vinyl starts to lift away. Inject the glue a little at a time and massage it towards the void. Then heat it all with a hairdryer again and clamp until it sets up. If you make clean, small cuts you won't notice, and the glue will seal the hole.

You could also try warming up the glue to reduce its viscosity.

I'm gonna try this weekend that way i can focus more time on it. I think I might heat the glue up first I'm scared to cut it.
Thanks Brother

Use a cheapy meat injector like the one that comes with Tony's marinade
>>
>>2941270
You need an 18 gauge needle not those tiny 25 gauge insulin needles if you want to have any chance of pushing thick stuff through

if you have leftover glue, place a square of aluminum foil between the cap and threads of the tube before screwing down the cap. This will prevent the glue from curing inside the tube as opposed to just the plastic cap which allows the solvents to slowly escape.
>>
>>2941485
never new that Thanks
>>
>>2941485
Why aluminium foil? I do the same but with plastic wrap for silicone tubes with screw caps. Never used e6000 though
>>
>>2941391
the problem will return but w/e good jab
>>
>>2940796
Im eager to know how this works out for the OP. I also have a vintage automobile with some vinyl bubbling
>>
>>2944161
>>2944156
I'm thinking of taking it apart and drilling a small hole on the other side through the plastic then injecting glue from the other side with a bigger needle i it happens again but right now just heating it hup and pushing it back down as fixed it
