i want to paint pic rel white using spray paint (rust oleum 2 in 1) without disassembly. I have masking tape but don't know (a) will it damage the delicate parts (b) how to mask the logo and tough areas (c) how to make it perfectly circular so it doesn't look like shit.
>>2942656Spray everything, then remove the paint over the logo with sandpaper.
>>2942660no dude, that's not right. gotta be more graceful.
>>2942662It's raised lettering, so used an acrylic paint marker to color it in. If you're going to go through the trouble then you should disassemble the monitors so you can clean them up and scuff them with a magic eraser before you paint them.
>>2942656>without disassembly1. here's where you're wrong2. use blue painters tape not tan masking tape3. why preserve the fucking logo4. seriously why do you want the logo5. if it's raised do what >>2942665 you can also use brush with acrylic. or sanding as >>2942660 said. hell you could even paint then wipe off the logo, again, if raised. if not raised print a decal. also again it's stupid to want the logo when you're rattle canning this shit.6. seriously why are you doing all this extra work to avoid taking out six to eight screws?7. ???8. profit
>>2942674also if you REALLY MUST mask the logo use liquid mask
>>2942674don't want to damage brittle components. ok forget the logo for a minute. how do i mask the driver / tweeter area so it's perfectly circular.
thanks for all the serious tips anons. i ended up getting white yamahas instead.
>>2942680You dont, you disassemble it and just paint the part you wantBut if you insist get some card stock and a protractor, cut out circles of right size to mask them and tape in place. If that’s too difficult tape royally and use a scalpel to cut the exact shape but be careful you’ll go right trough the foam if you push too hard
