How can I create something equivalent to this at my home?
1. get a squid and a bucket2. put bucket under squid3. start milking
For what? Coated paper? Uncoated paper? Canvas? Skin? Is it exposed to UV? Moisture? There are different ink formulas for basically every substrate so they adhere properly.
>>2943502>$15 bottle of shittheres no universe where the savings will amount to enough to justify the cleanup mess making your own ink will generate
>>2943510>>294359301. The ink i want to make should be good for graffiti. Which means hard to buff, uv resistant, fast drying and drippy.02. Its not about saving, its about experimenting and maybe selling?Already got some ideas but not yet tried mixing stuff.
>>2943598I feel like what you’re looking for is charcoal powder suspended in a thin epoxy binder. so what you should be googling is “how to make glue at home”. gl making that binder though, if a cheap diy solution existed I feel like you’d already know.

>>2943502Get some black soot from something (eg chimney pipe), mix with some kind of binder like varnish (or pine resin) and thin it down with solvents like alchohol or turpintine until it’s at the consistency you want.
Find some heavily used diesel oil
>>2943502Oak galls. Blend them, mix with water and strain them, mix in some iron sulphate and you have ink. You can thicken it with gum arabic. Shit oxidises on contact with air and is next to impossible to remove from materials which aren't plastic or metal.
>>2944298I dont know if its suitable for graffiti but it looks awesome mate>>2944262 Thats good option too. Thanks!!
>>2943502Collect soot from an oil candle/lampMix it with your choice of binder (usually water and gelatin with a very very small amount of essential oils for odour)Et Voila! The ancients did this for millenia
>>2943502OP this is where you learn about "Safety Datasheets or SDS" where they list what chemicals are in their product, and then you find what other products if any have similar ingredients for cheaper.>section 3 composition/information on ingredients>50-75% of t he ingredient is ethanolAnyways here take a look and they provide CAS # too. https://cdn.dick-blick.com/msds/DBH_SDS_24579XXXX.pdf
>>2944700Pretty based anon..Thank you a lot. Didn't expect this thread would actually provide me with info
>>2944714SDS have saved me from buying expensive shit when I found out majority of the ingredients is either rubbing alcohol or acetone.I am not sure how helpful it will be but figured its a start somewhere.
