>Spend weekend with parent inspecting old house we lived in when I was in high school, which he rents out but is in between tenants
>First time visiting in more than a decade; went upstairs and laid down in my old room and just stared at the ceiling for a while
>AC cuts on, pleasant hum
>Everything is in decent condition
>Life there wasn't perfect but I do miss it
>Come back home to rentoid box
>Pass by the hallway minisplit heat pump, whisper quiet at all times
>Go inside
>Half the kitchen outlets are out
>GFCI outlet near the fridge keeps tripping; unplug the fridge, reset, leave for a while, come back, plug in only the fridge, trips immediately
>Call maintenance, tell them we need a fridge replacement
>Guys come, fuck around all day
>End result: they tried to replace the fridge outlet and GFCI outlets and now none of the outlets on that circuit work
>About halfway through, I call the front office and ask them to call out an electrician because these guys are nice but don't know what they're doing
>They finally agree to replace the fridge, but since none of the outlets work, I'm not transferring all my food to a warm fridge
>They'll be back in the morning to fix the outlets
>I could literally do all of this myself but it'd break the lease
>AC cuts on
>Loud as balls because the main return is like 3 feet from the blower
