Anyone researched and built a solar dehydrator for food?I can't find good resources about how they're supposed to work and what the best designs might be.
>>2945445thise look like mold grower unless you live in the desertthe mother earth news design plywood box with 100w lightbult array and window screen shelves is pretty much the gold standard for home food preserving
>>2945447I wanted to build something relying purely on solar energy, I'd only want to use it during summer anyways.
>>2945445Where I live we use mostly pic rel, but we get a lot less sun here than in say, florida. Europe so our climate is more like New Jersey. Traditionally they are used in early harvest season like end of june when its most sunny out. Works well but I’m not sure if they work outside summer >>2945447They get really good airflow and a lot of heat, and lower temperature generally means better flavour. You have to pick the hotter days of course but mold isn’t really a problem even if it rains a lot
>>2945457I'm assuming you mean the one on the left? I'm also in Europe but on my land I get a lot of sun.
>>2945445 you can tell how retarded an OP is by the statement "I can't find" which means I can't be arsed to look, and "what is the best" which is subjective and depends on what you think "best" is.another moron who doesn't know how to diy.
>>2945558You can tell how much I fucked your mom based on how salty you sound. Retard.
>>2945445Yeah, my grandma ran /diy/ solar dehydrators for food for over 60 years
>>2945563my mom is powder.and op is still an idiot who can't diy.
>>2945568Doesn't count if she didn't present it on Pinterest.
>>2945445Pic related is peak design
>>2945571Do you want a cum tribute on your mom? Because that's how you get a cum tribute on your mom...
