Looking for book recommendations for boys outdoor crafts, similar to picrel which is from Modern Mechanics & Inventions, but hard copies of that are a fortune. Thanks

You say this but I remember having a book like this as a kid in the 90s, well illustrated, all in colours, the whole thing.
It started with very simple things
>how to whistle with a blade of grass
>how to safely carve a walking stick
>how to quickly build a lean-to
>how to build a tiny kite
And got gradually insane
>how to build a clay oven
>how to build a canal
>how to build a drawbridge
>how to build a house on stilts in a lake or river
>how to build a cabin in a tree with several rooms
When I'm back at my folks' place for christmas, I'll try to remember to pick it up so I can scan and translate it for shits and giggles.

You're looking for The American Boys Handy Book. Its awesome. Has "plans" for building various weapons, rafts, hot air balloons, kites, etc. Super fun
