If I buy a house in winter, how to test A/C?Seems like A/C is lot bigger deal that Heater, since you can always just wear more clothes, or use Electric heaters for one or more like 1/2 or 1/4 of room, or wood burning stove, etc. Plus A/C is lot more complex, EXPENSIVE, and I really don't know shit and its all a mystery. I'm pretty sure I could install a gas heater system including chimney, and I've got CO detector. They also say housing prices drop in winter, largely due to people not wanting to change kid's school in middle of year, and other factors. Also, all these sellers are too dumb to get any of their own inspections to just market the house. Its 95% "AS IS, seller wont be doing shit" and lots like they left in a hurry. Are any Home Warranty worth a fuck and would they cover an A/C unit when first summer comes and tech says "This POS hasn't run in 3-4yrs".
