I'm repairing a mobility scooter. It has tab washers (picrel right) on the wheel axel bolts. I can only find one place online selling them and they're cash rape. Could I get away with left (picrel). How much less secure will it be, would it be sufficient?
>>2948186>diy>can't find where to buy this piece of hardwareMaybe you should make one, yourself.
>>2948189Now isnt the time or place to be pulling some edgelord shit anon. >Cant find where to buy this piece of hardwareI can. Did you not read the thread you retard. I don't like the price. So I'm considering alternatives. If you've got no experience of using tab washers, don't fucking reply >Manufacture them yourself The time and investment, is simply not worth it compared to buying alternatives from china.
It might help if you show a picture of how it's supposed to be mounted, otherwise it's hard to tell if something else would work. If it doesn't have to be very strong you could probably make your own with a piece of flashing, a drill, some snips, a file, and pliers. How trashed are the originals that you can't just reuse them?
>>2948191>suggesting you make something is edgelord shitStop pretending to be mentally damaged.
>>2948189Looks pretty dang easy to make a set of 4 of these from an overpriced $11 sheet metal piece from home depot, an angle grinder which everyone here should have, and a drill.Faggot I mean OP did not specify how expensive the commercially available washers are but $11 to DIY all 4 would not be unreasonable.
>>2948186use your headyou can fabticate that gayass lock washer from a coke can, you can use a nylon lock nut, you can use locktide on the nut, etc.
>>2948186loctite
It's a shop rider one . Call a dealer they are like 5 dollars each
mobility scooter?
>>2948389Seconding the Nylock nut. They should work fine in this application.
