What made old DIY youtube so good?
>>
it wasn't monetized.

The world was just a better and simpler place. Not everything was politicized and monetized AI bullshit designed to generate clicks. Plus there were actually some great ideas too that spread like wildfire. Seems like there isn't as much innovation these days because all the simple and fun stuff has already been done.

It wasn't flooded with unoriginal unauthentic jeetslop.
>>
>Broadcast Yourself

Much like the rest of the web, early Youtube was populated by people that had something they wanted to show and share and weren't chasing advertising money. These days it's not only completely saturated but the majority of producers are trying to regurgitate old content in the way that most effectively gets views.

Anyone know if Kipkay is still alive?
>>

original content is still alive and well but it wont show in any search. you have to dig for it by going through comments and clicking on users 1 by 1 mostly. its completely rejected by all the algorithms
