The problem is the lack of roads. It really is ass trying to make a vehicle that is going to be %100 on mud and rough roads that is pedal powered. If I could find a chain and some gears I might try for a bike with a low and a high gear, but that is fiddley. Given the load it looks like he needs a trailer frankly. A 4 wheeled trailer and anything to give him a gear ratio would be the next step.
