With the chairs
How it started
>>2955224It looks good desu. These >>2955256 fucking chairs on other hand are atrocious.
>>2955415Thanks mate! Damn, I really like them. They are only temporary though, we're going to get 8 or 10 tan leather ones similar to this style, we just need to find the right ones
>>2955256Nice
Why not worry about your actual living quarters first? What's the point of a flashy table when you live in a shithole?
>>2955737Post house
>>2955740Looks comfy as ngl
>>2955740Damn that looks nice
>>2955859>>2955867Cheers. I just built this raised veggie patch too and behind it up against the fence we got a "poormans orange" or nz grapefruit which im espaliering on that lattice against the fence
>>2955887Ive always wanted one but never had enough room
New slab day. This one is going to be a bar top
>>2951410Reddit table
I never got into (((river tables)))But it looks nice
>>2956578Cheers, Im pretty happy with how it turned out, especially considering its the first time Ive tried anything like this
>>2956632the color contrast is very pleasant, good job. The leather chairs are definitely gonna compliment it much better
>>2956503Slabs cut to fit the area its going, ripped out the rotted wood and sprayed the soft wood with a hardner then filled the voids with some silicone and timber off cuts ready for filling with epoxy that will have timber sandings in it to match the colour
>>2956516fucking kek.
>>2956632looks like absolute shit kys lmao
>>2957474Sneed
>>2957092Ended up going with black in the end. Will flatten the slab over the weekend and start sealing it with clear epoxy, 3 coats top, bottom and edges, then a marine spar for 4 or 5 coats. That should do the trick to keep it in good condition out in the weather
>>2957510Looks messy
epoxy allergy speedrun
>>2957510Looks like a cutting board with recent blod stains from cutting meat
>>2957773Going to make a chopping board next unironically
>>2957510This will be one of the legs
>>2958177Ew wood
>>2958179Ever seen some hard wood before?
>>2957510Slab flattened, gotta fill a couple of the voids that opened up and then start giving it clear coats of epoxy
>>2958404Holes filled, sanded, ready for clear coats of epoxy
First coat of epoxy on the underside. You can see where I notched out for one of the legs
>>2958897Second coats on
>>2955256I like it, but you really need something on that wall to tie the room together.
>>2959524Yeah we're going to put some more furniture, indoor plants and art in the room to complete it. Probably a thing hallway style table against the wall either out of timber or stone
All coats are done, now tome to route out underneath the table for the L brackets that'll join the leg
Hey man can you help me out?I just had an epoxy river table made by a local furniture company and theres a ton of issues with it.First the whole tub is slightly cupped like the wood on each side is tilted up. They poured so much clear epoxy in the middle to make up for it that its like a quarter inch thick in the middle and basically none by the time it reaches the edges. Also the clear is filled with dimples and debris like splinters and hairs etc. Also they did multiple pours on the clear so that you can see lines in the wood from the coats.Should i try to return the table and get my money back?
>>2960248Take that shit back son
>>2951410A little more orange-burnt sienna stain on the wood for contrast with that blue would take it to the next level. Matte finishon the wood and gloss on the water>>2955220Ah, nice. Still the above for a gradient from the middle to the edges.
>>2955217Sneek the head into one of the photos.
>>2955256I came ready, winning and wanting to hate it but I cant. It's awesome. The only improvement would be if you make the water maybe a little lower than the wood. That way people could play with little boats and stuff
>>2962190Thanks mate, appreciate it
4 coats of marine varnish on the bottom and sides, now for 4 coats on the top and then install
