It didn't work. It says it is plug and play you don't have have bypass the ballast. What now?
>>
>>2951576
you rolled it into the contacts correctly on both ends? you take out a working fluorescent or a dead one? fucking up the contacts is the most likely, next is bad ballast. if you have other fluorescent fixtures of the same size play swap a bulb until you figure it out.
>>
>>2951584
I had contact and tried in other fixtures and it doesn't work. It only flashes on momentarily when I turn the power off.

I just rewire the fitting when I need to put an led tube in, you just do straight 240 or 110 what ever you've got into the tomb stone.
>>
i want to find whoever invented fluorescent tube lighting and kick him in the nuts.

>>2951591
maybe you got a bad bulb
>>
>>2951576
Re-wire without the ballast. Check to make rain well sure wires are proper. Re-try the bulb and if it still doesn't work take it back as defective.

Damn well sure. I ducking hate autocorrect...

There are different kinds of LED replacement bulbs. Some use both ends as L/N, some have the two pins on one end as L/N and the opposite end is just dummy pins.
Just as >>2951614 posted with zero context whatsoever.
>>
>>2951576
your ballast is a switching one, that does not work with led replacements
you have to rewire the lamp directly to mains (basically remove the driver), which is something very easy to do

you dingus didnt bypass the starter
>>
>>2951807
Remove the balast, dummy.
The silver cylinder. Twist it to unscrew, replace with the one for LEDs.

it's literally cheaper and easier to just buy the whole light instead of fucking with the bulb. you can get undercabinet led lights for like $10 now at menards

Thw silver thing is the starter. The box is the ballast. The ballast is probably bad, that's why new fluorescent wouldn't work. Even though the led would work with a ballast, the ballast is still bad and won't put any electricity put to run it
>>
>>2951968
The starter is not the ballast
>>
>>2951966
>it's literally cheaper
>$10 for the equivalent
Post the $10 equivalent.
>>
>>2951989
they run them on sale all the time if you sign up for their emailed online deals, but they go fast
>>
Just bypass the ballast, it only takes a couple minutes.
>>

I need a wiring diagram.
>>
>>2951977

LEDs dont need a starter. OP should cut out the starter and hook the 2 wires together.
