thinkin of becoming a rooferim up for the challenge. thoughts?
>>2951801I don’t think the anime and vidya game nerds of this board can handle the physicality, discomfort and fatigue of such a job.
>>2951801The last question of the interview is usually something like: "tell me, how do you take your meth?". If you give an answer the boss likes ("I share it with my crew"), congratulations, you've got the job.
>>2951801Do you smoke meth?
>>2951801>thinkin of becoming a rooferif you can work your way to having your own crew and having your own company you can make really good money. if you are over 25 i would go for a different trade. speaking spanish is a huge bonus.
Enjoy the cocaine use
drugs in every bluecollar trade
>>2951823>>2951824>>2951837>>2951842whats so bad about doing coke/meth for a job like this? workin hard with a crew while zooted on meth all day sounds like something i'd like to do. just bullshittin with the bros doin real work while cranked up. sounds epic bros
Bro go pick a trade that works inside. I know several millionaires that literally glue stuff to a surface.Tyle, epoxy, molding exct... painter is a good one too. I suggest any trade that's easy to get past local and state paperwork credentials. Do some local research
I’ve been a contractor for 15 years. The only shit you DO NOT want to do is: roofing, concrete, and drywall.Roofing is hot, dangerous, and uncomfortable, and your boss will want you to work fast and accurately. The only reason to learn it is to put a crew under you and make a fortune managing guys.
>>2951801Sure, I just hope you aren't American so you can actually do real roofing work

>>2951894why not do concrete?
>>2952634Concrete normally has a high asbestos content so if you're working around it all day then you're pretty much putting your lungs on the line from day 1
>>2952672Concrete has absolutely no asbestos in it. It does have silica dust which is not asbestos. Only when the silica dust is airborne is it dangerous. After it's wet it's fine. Concrete finishers have nothing to worry about. The people working on the batch plant or near it are the only ones exposed.
>>2952634NTA but in my experience working as a cribber which is adjacent to the finishers; you wouldn't want to put up with concrete if you want to have a life outside of work. The hours are long; you can't just clock out if there's wet concrete that needs to finished and if the concrete truck is late, you're the one that's left holding the ball waiting for hours only for the truck to finally arrive and be turned around because the slump is fucked. That being said, if you're all about work and just want to make quick money doing hard work, then concrete is far from the worst thing out there.
