I'm replacing and adding some of the USB ports in my Tacoma and figured it'd be easier to replace this piece of flimsy plastic rather than cut it up to fit the new ports/switches I have. I plan on using wood since it's cheaper and easier to work with, but I'm looking for recommendations on the kind of wood/stain to use. I have some scrap 2x4s I can cut and sand down, but I am not opposed to getting new wood.
>>2952324Your best bet is some palettes.
OP is a fag
>>2952324Paint stirrer is the best wood. The big ones are nice but the cheap ones are thinner and have a curve that could benefit your project. Second to that go to hobby lobby and get balsa. Also don't stain just fucking paint it.That said, I don't get why you think putting USB holes in wood is easier than plastic. You can do anything to that piece of plastic easier than you can to wood and you don't have to fit it to the dash.
