has anyone tried this before, also cardboard chairs/couches?It doesnt need to hold much besides a speaker and my tablet maybe. Just thinking it wouldn't be that hard to build and cost less than $20
Looks like roach food
there are actually quite a lot of cardboard furniture designs and patterns available online. some of them are pretty fancy. I'm lazier and just used a plain box with a big vertical X shape inside for support and it worked for years holding up a fairly large monitor.

>>2954592What has happened to modern society that we can't even afford to buy furniture anymore. Please come back and save us president Bush jr
>>2955175Impressive. Could be useful for ghetto furniture for some outdoors shack or something.
>>2955311Build a whole couch-sofa, and just add the cushioning (the kushening)
Check out hexacomb cardboard before making the twin towers out of mama luigi's pizza boxes
>>2956295ty. That seems like it would be harder to cut tho? Couldn't you just consider the thinness when you're designing to make sure there's enough supports (like would building a 4x2x10 box be easiest with 6 sides, as opposed to one rectangular hexacomb cardboard)
>>2955177I mean it's corporations pushing shit wages, refusing to budge and spending billions to kill any legislation that gives workers rights. George Bush only allowed corporations to further rape the populace
>>2956306Yeah, why would you support ikea if you cant even affort to buy a chair / deskBuild it out of cardboard XD
>>2956302Not harder to cut. It's the same material as corrugated, just arranged in comb form. Nobody said you couldn't use a combination of both types

>>2954592If you can figure out a way to mimic the boning structure in Japan’s Airweave cardboard beds they made for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics you could make anything.
>>2959470The headboard and sides around the bed look reinforced similar to bank boxes.
>>2954592Yeah what do you think you're buying with half of the IKEA furniture
I work at a resale shop and we routinely sell decent desks for $5-20 so just go buy a real desk, dipshit. Not that long ago some college kid bought a desk and had a friend help him carry it home a few blocks away. Make shit happen, stop living in squalor. Being poor doesn't mean you have to be trashy and have cardboard furniture.
how do i stop being poor
