Managed to save a CPV4/8 vacuum pump from a junk pile at work today and got it running. Rotary vane compressor, holds -0.93 bar even after I turn the motor off.Not gonna sell it. What's some cool shit I can do with it?

Well, if I had one, I would like to marry the idea of a homopolar motor and a vacuum tube. Instead of a conductive disc, rotating in a magnetic field the vacuum tube is corotated with a magnet.
