The idea is to keep the rural wood feeling but improve it's mayor issues; in heat (floor with wood and dirt, no protection on the inner wall); aesthetic (zinc plate for the outer walls); and choosing innovative materials that you would recommend.If it's useful the house is like a mix between German-Chilean architecture (pic related) and those hunter of the woods homes you see in the movies.
Tell us more. Show pics. Foundation, structure, plumbing, climate, constraints etc. Besides that, I'd recommend painting it (add a shot of black).
