my knees feel like absolute trash from doing work, walking and standing on concrete will some expensive shoes help and which ones?
>>2960241They might. Also have your feet checked and look into shoe inserts. You might have a non-standard arch. Speaking from experience, having a nonstandard arch might go unnoticed until you really work your feet and then it becomes a problem. I didn't have a problem until I was 19 years old. Even if you have anormal arch, shoe inserts can be helpful.
>>2960274>Also have your feet checked and look into shoe inserts.this. I was wearing too small shoes for 15yrs and it wasn't until I went to 4 pedo docs someone finally realized I didn't know WTF when I told them "yeah, I know how to stretch" and wrote me a 'SCRIPT and "doctors orders" to go to PT, and I lucked out an got a great PT gal to fix my feet. Many PTs only go through motions.I like the new type of USGI boots with soft middle layer in the sole. Used to be dirt cheap in waning days of GWOT, but now $200 or more. DO NOT buy the brand name but cheap ones off Ebay. Defective glue and fall apart.https://www.ebay.com/itm/114189108107?_skw=combat+boots+USGI++13XW&epid=2136795057&itmmeta=01KB14CT26HB61KN7S169FF2GD&hash=item1a9633838b:g:amUAAOSwLu5emAW5&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1elQFfs7JpmK3mYXiP4dvMoYJUneSpzmoa2xxlpB%2BI7TIdXJFK1ML4PT6w0tNBBNoZOhH2mF8UtMlC0CpWT2VYUwvGatOfml4pDF2gX8SppHvxWw0%2FQ%2FdjUkDbcwLCZp9FaoG0gt5MqqEEcdZx%2FREzcKwsyQa5XruOwehc%2FvGwVOs%2B%2BMyrwbkOTYL0mpfjwAYv1c3lcc6BwygsKgINxTfslrPgasuetyCFSkNlhIe0NVCJNu4TQ3qd2hcgUipuEWJI%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR7Khs6TYZg
There is something wrong with the fundamentals if walking and standing causes you pain.Poor posture (not just in regards to spine), weak feet (be as close to barefoot as you can as often as you can to help remedy this), maybe poor diet. You can go doen the rabbit hole of specialty gear to correct for your deficiencies, or you can work on fixing your deficiencies.
just get inserts and make sure they work well with your arch. also make sure to replace those inserts when the foam compresses fully. foam cushioning (whether it be midsoles or insoles) will almost always wear out before the rest of the shoe/boot and its cheaper to buy new insoles every 4-6 months than new shoes
>>2960241Eat more fat, buy insoles and stretch touching your toes 20 minutes before bed every night
>>2960241how long days? 8h with a lunch break or 3 you should be able to take it, 12h non stop thats just your body saying nooo let me rest. it can still be done and you get used to it, shoes and that makes little difference for knees. if you are fresh in the game it does take a few years to harden up but also along the ride you learn that every sturdy object at the right height is a chair so you sit down if so for just 30 seconds every time you can.and lastly, how do you walk? do you stomp or float? stompers wear out their joints much faster than floaters. when you put your weight on the leading foot it shouldnt be a *stomp* but a floating motion. if you ever lived with a stomper you know these are the people who sound like an elephant when walking on the second floor. they stomp all their body weight on the heel of the leading foot for every step and it ruins their joints.
