Never seen a buy sell trade thread here

Got tools you're looking for, or want gone?

Never gonna get around to that project that's been sitting behind the shed for years?

Post it here

I've got the hookup on plastic pallets in northern Florida if anyone's interested

Anyone got any deals on some Enerpac or similar cylinders and hollow rams? Looking to beef up my collection. Probably end up buying Vevor brand or used off e-bay...

Most of the stuff I want gone isn't really anything special and run of the mill power tools and whatnot. I have an enclosed trailer with stuff in it that I'll probably haul to a local auction house one of these days.

Oh I figured, and that was the direction I was more than likely headed. Vevor has them for around 120ish a piece...

Since you're a truck mechanic, one I recently brought home with some rust jacking between the frame and a crossmember. It's practically a double frame for about 6' long. Only rust jacked in the front 4-6" of it though so I figure I can beat it out of there with a sledgehammer and some shafting or some kind of blunt tip on my pneumatic chipping hammers. The rest of it looks pretty damn clean. Do you have anything you'd recommend spraying in there between the layers when I'm done? Just used engine oil? Fluid film? Spray some Ospho in there first or nah?

full disclosure ive only ever larped as truck mehanik out of necessity
dealt with a few double frames over the years though but being a westcoaster meant rust is a non issue. did cut the sleeves on a old midwest mack to put a scissorlift hoist for a grainbox on it and it had something that resembled commercial roof tar or asphalt liquid between the frames. looked like it did the job keeping the nasty rot out
we sleeved a ex log truck t800 to the back of the cab for a hoist and the guy running the shop that formed the c sections was an old paccar employee. he said if you put goo between the frames youd throw half the strength benefit away because the two sections dont grip each other when theres lube in the middle and can flex a lot more. so itll start cracking through close together holes sooner

All righty then. I'll see if I can beat the shitty stuff out then and squirt something in there. In all honesty it will never see salt ever again, will rarely if ever see much moisture again, and should have a relatively easy life under my watch.
