Freshly harvested zucchinis, tomatoes should be ready soonWho else here /home garden/?
They look good. Do you use poison?

Other things growing on currently >tomatoes galore>queensland blue pumpkin>zucchini>rock melon, water melon, cucumbers>onion, carrots, parsnip>sweet corn>green beansgrowing is fun and tasty
>gardening>mid decembersouthie?
>>2963220No poison, just seasol, blood and bone and natural fertiliser >>2963238Damn! Sounds like a big setup! I wish we had more room. We currently have a pomegranate, orange, lemon, mandarin, apricot, nectarine l, nz grapefruit and loquat trees, and in the veggie patch we've got tonnes of tomatoes, zucchini, egg plant, chilli, capsicum, spinach, spring onions, basil, sage, basil mint, lemon grass and strawberries >>2963245>southie?Deep south, as in Australia
>>2963346That's a lot of fruit trees! If there's one thing I wish I could have it's more fruit trees but alas no space. Instead I got a so called "fruit salad tree" That's multi-grafted. Was 4 in 1 but 1 died so now it's just peach, nectarine and plum on 1 tree. Bloody expensive tree it was too.
>>2963451Its never enough though! Shit we might have to look at getting somwthing like that, would be nice to get a bunch of different fruits off the same tree
>>2963219What's a safe recipe of dishsoap solution to use to kill whiteflies? (Orange tree)I have been using 2 tablespoons of concentrated dishsoap per gallon and it seems its OK, so far no appreciable damage on the leaf, I'm not rinsing either, maybe I'll get fucked in 2 weeks.Should I rinse that shit afterwards or not?And is it true that these are immune to permethrin now?
>>2963649Never had white flies so couldn't help. Slightly tangentially though, Once I started greasing the trunks of my citrus trees the aphid infestations slowed/stopped. If you can stop the ants climbing up, they can't put the aphids there to begin with. I wrap a 2" wide band of masking tape on the trunk, slather with vaseline, replace it every so often in the heavy seasons. Eventually my ants figure a path over the vaseline so I soak it with insect spray, they die on contact with the vaseline.
hai /gg/ . any anons have experience with permaculture stuff? ive got about 150sqft/14sqm to work with. im thinking liek a composting keyhole design, but going into the ground instead of building up. also thinking about making a moat or soemthing to dissuade the deer even more. in south us for reference.

>>2963219>Who else here /home garden/?Sold old house, no sunlight, got a few cukes & tomatoes, barely. New house, full sun 9-10 hours. Still eating squash we froze. Also Romas turned into sauce, also frozen. We just started buying produce again, ate from garden exclusively for months. Should have moved years ago.

Today I planted my new Jujube tree. Since it's so dry here I researched what fruit trees like arid climates and that was top of the list.
>>2963219I just started this year. I grew 1.1kg of peas, 4kg of rainbow beets, I harvested 12 green onions a week from early may to mid-september, and about 20 radishes every other week in the same time period. I also grew some herbs, and even dried a bunch of parsely and ended up with about 40z. I have a bunch of garlic and purple broccoli in the ground now for spring.Next year I'm going to triple down, i'm going to weigh everything i grow and aim for 20kgs total
>>2966715Nice! Post some pics
I want a stone lantern for my garden, but they're expensive as fuck. I won't pay £900 for a really small ornament.
>>2967567Cast one out of concrete. Vibrate it well to get rid of bubbles. Read a thing about making planters from concrete vermiculite mix for lightweight planters. Never tried it.
>>2967567Would be nice if you can get one for cheap

Was getting some blossum end rot from a touch too much fertiliser but put some calcium folar spray on, threw out the damaged fruits and now its as good as good
