I am a welder and I paint with metallic paint and polish metals every day, and every day I feel worse and more aggressive. Is the lead hurting me?
YesWhere the fuck do you work that uses lead paint
>>2963859if you are in the US your employer has to pay for a blood test.get your heavy metal levels checked. some of it can be removed by taking carbon pills, some can't.
>>2963859Search Saturnism for symptoms
>>2963867this, and AFAIK cheap to Self Authorize I've done lots of construction around lots of lead paint but always test real low, like 2 out of 50.But Lead is tricky and there is not a good record of finding out WTF it came from.Guy was on crew re-painting Bay Bridge and died from Lead, but other 20 guys on same crew doing same work all A-OK. IIRC it sorta looked like maybe his wife poisoned him. But in other cases its still hard to track WTF is source of lead. Its like falling into an open man hole at night.Did it come from your house, or when some dust blew on something you ate somewhere else as a fluke.Symptoms are also vague, and kids at greatest risk, due to bones looking for Calcium which is in same Chem stack as Lead. Stomach ache, irritability, sleep issues, learning issues, fatigue....thats every kid, everyday, more or less.
>>2963859What lead? What do the MSDS for coatings and chemicals you use say regarding safety precautions. What does your blood test indicate?
>>2963859What country? Also lead is a compounding heavy metal. It will slowly accumulate in your body, and there is no cure or definitive way to get rid of it once you'd gathered enough inside you.Honestly though, you're probably getting sick from spray painting. Painters often get nerve damage and real sick the longer they work in the industry. Something with the chemicals in the paints and what have you, but I don't know much about that desu.
>>2963859Are you using a respirator at least?
>>2963859Lead is a risk factor. Many people not working with it however feel the same way. Could also be chronic inflammation from some food source. Gluten intolerance is common and it's in pretty much every item of food with an ingredients list. Turds should be firm and floating with ordinary diet (no extra fiber or husks). Depression and anxiety makes it secondary issue however >hey doc I feel like dying and genociding but first have happy easy wipe poopsIt goes undiagnosed for decades. Inflammation accumulate with exposure so subtle clues now can slowly become debilitating. All while getting pills and therapy from regular doctors visits. It's why selfcare YouTube doctors are a blessing. They make inflammation accessible in whatever pace required.
>>2963930Is sort of right in that diet and stress are more likely culprits. Lead is very unlikely since it's rather uncommon, but zinc, chromium, molybdenum are all pretty common in various grade steels, especially the harder 4000 series steels, and they can mess you up pretty good. You should be wearing a respirator when welding just as a general rule of thumb. If you're really concerned about lead you can try dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA). Take like 20-30mg, if it makes you feel weird, worse, or better, then congrats - you've got lead. The proper treatment protocol is whatever the bearable dose is every 3 hours for 72 hours, followed by a 96 hour rest period. Rinse and repeat. Up dose as it becomes tolerable. Once you can run the upper dose (about 15-20mg) without symptoms take a break, and run a round of DMSA every 3 months or so as the lead continues to leech out of the brain and bones.
>>2963930>Turds should be firm and floating with ordinary dietYou mean I'm not supposed to have the liquid shits 90% of the time? Fuck.
>>2963859Pretty sure lead has been banned in most respectable countries
>>2963905>It will slowly accumulate in your body, and there is no cure or definitive way to get rid of it once you'd gathered enough inside you.Your body is always removing Lead, it just isn't able to remove lots very fast if there is some goofy thing going on.
