I fucked up...I saw this sandbag for sale online, and decided to buy it, but I have no idea what I even need to do to install it properly, I don't have or know how to use power tools, I don't know if I should buy some part to drill it directly on the ceiling, and I don't know what I should look for to even know where would it be safe to hang it. I searched for some youtube tutorials but everyone seems to asume I already have a drill and know how to use it.I'm in a concrete walls and ceiling house (the walls are made of those empty concrete blocks stuff), where should I start? I don't even know what are my options (hanging thing from the ceiling or wall mount? I have no idea if my ceiling or wall will withstand any of those) I'm seriously thinking about paying some expert, but I don't even know who should I talk to do it (I'm thinking about a construction worker, but I may be really wrong on that too).this is the bag I got (the 30kg one):https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394934350837
>stud finder ceiling>find stud>aggressively screw hook into woodthey have wide threads, it's actually doable with some sweatnot a big deal, of course a pilot hole from a drill would help but you can manageonce the threads bite and hold you can slip something like a screwdriver in the hook to give more leverage twisting further
>don't have or know how to use power tools> I'm seriously thinking about paying some expertAt that point, it might be easier, cheaper and faster to just buy a punching bag frame instead of trying to hang it on a wall
>>2964318I saw a standing frame...it was like 3 times the price of the bag.one for a wall was around half what I paid for the bag, and I'm not even sure what I need for the ones of the ceiling.>>2964309>aggressively screw hook into woodI don't even know if this ceiling has wood on it, I'ts a 30 years old house where my uncle was living, they did some repairs and stuff to make it tremor resistant, but I'm not sure of construction terminology, so I don't even know what they did.
>>2964309Don't do this, it will crack the stud. Return it and go on your local version of craigs list and find a bag + stand for cheap.
>>2964307Yeah man its fucking fucked, big timeGAME OVER MAN GAME OVER all that is left is to cry in a corner
>>2964307You need to find out what's in the ceiling first. If you can get up there and it's just normal wood rafters you can get a board and lay it across them and nail it down, then in the center punch a hole in the ceiling and hang it from there. That way the load is dispersed and you won't risk cracking one of the rafters with some giant anchor and it'll also require no tools other than a hammer.
All I know is it has a footing construction, It had some metal sticks used for the ceiling (I saw it being constructed like years ago), and concrete, and it was supposedly reinforced to let another floor be added later. Sadly my uncle ain't here anymore to give more details, and I don't know a lot of construction.
>>2964390hang it outside on a tree
Those bags aren't actually filled with sand. If they were they would be 10x the weight.
>>29643071 - just buy a stand for it.2 depending on how long it its, you really only need to suspend enough weight to keep it upright while you punch and kick it. Having if sway around while you are trying to practice is waste.
>>2964945one I got at a garage sale was full of ragsI did >>2964941then it got heavier after rainthen it started to smellI still kept it for a few years
update, I went to some sports and hardware stores in my town; and nobody there knew how to install the thing or did that service, they just sold the one for hanging on the ceiling, or the bags, some hardware store told me to get one online and look for a blacksmith to install it if I'm not sure what I'm doing (I don't even know if I should put one of the ceiling ones, or get one for the wall).I'm thinking of getting one for the wall which has the bar to do pull ups, and then see what to do.>>2965045>1 - just buy a stand for itthis is kind of an option, but the thing is worth like 4 times what I paid for the bag, so I'm not sure if it's really good idea, and if I can use it to do pull ups too or something else, or if it'll end up as a clothes hanger because of lack of use.
