I bought these components to try and fit them together to attach a light to a sign that comes on at dusk. I realize now that I can buy the whole thing already complete, but I do not want to waste these and I cannot return them. Can they be made to work? Or is it impossible.

>>2968704Why don't you follow the instructions printed on the switch? Is this thread a meme format? We had several just like this.
>>2968713not meme, im just dumb. I bought the switch separately and was wondering if you can combine it with the solar panel/board/battery
Questionable whether or not that photo switch doo dad will even work on anyting other than 120vac
>>2968716This is the kind of answer I was looking for, thanks. I know little no nothing about electronic components, so I bought based on price and nothing more. And a follow up question, is it even possible to introduce a light sensor into the solar panel/board/battery setup ?
>>2968718
>>2968721You don't need the solar panel and diode if you plan on recharging it manually with a USB charger.
>>2968722Also, if you forego the solar panel, wire the battery to the B+ and B- terminals, and the LEDs to the Out+ and Out- terminals.
>>2968721Thanks, I will use this as an alternative since I will definitely will not get the sensor I got to work.>>2968722I think the board is just used as the on/off switch
>>2968729>I think the board is just used as the on/off switchYes. When the solar panel is not lit, the battery discharges through the LEDs.
>>2968714>im just dumbthen stop.
>>2968834Let him do things. But OP: Instead of impulsively buying random things with the idea to. figure out what you need later, come up with a plan first, then buy shit. Or not. Your money.
>>2968834>>2968806I've only ever worked with wood, first time including any type of electronic>>2968861Yeah, pretty much the best piece of advice I got . And thanks to the other good replies I pretty much know what to do to finish this project./thread
